I saw one that looked like it had goku doing the animation for when he did the spirit bomb for the first time on king kai’s planet…I thought that was cool as hell lol…this game is so pretty looking i especially like what they did in terms of shading, light, and shadows when it comes to the beams.
Oh and has anyone heard anything about the ps2 version going online as well…cause uh…
i’m wondering if that’s a fuck up on the part of the guy…but if it isn’t then i don’t need to switch my reserve to the wii version so i can get whatever this disc fusion thing is and online
I’ve never been able to teleport out of a follow up dragon smash and I can teleport the entire human genocide attack from super buu. I will gladly record that if you don’t believe me. Wheres the match vids and if you actually can teleport out of those dragon smashes then I take everything I said back. I never have been able to UNLESS I regained control with RAPID mashing of guard fast enough. As a matter of fact sprawlers if you could make a video proving me that it is possible for a HUMAN player not the AI to teleport out of a follow up dragon smash before regaining stabilization I will gladly eat my words. Until then however, btw the IGN guy said T3 would be online and if it is I would gladly play this game with you!!!
At around 00:22, Vegetto hits me with a full smash, pursues me, hits me again, and I teleport. Its done more often later in the vid. We mess around alot of in this vid, but we do some stuff that makes it clear that we know what we’re doing.
I’m pretty sure its done in our other vids too, but this vid came to mind first.
…I actually think I’m a bit in awe that you’ve never been able to teleport those attacks…cause that was one of the first things i learned how to do QUICK in this game…I thought that skill became a given after first few weeks in order to avoid taking big damage.
Edit: Sprawlers vid also has a good example of how step ins don’t exactly solve everything all the time lol
Today while I was at Carlos house I found myself understanding the true depth of this game. It will take a while before it is accepted by many just how deep DBZ T2 is. The game in broken down into the following elements. Managing Ki, High Level hand to hand, High Level Long Range and one hell of a defensive game. Defense is the most important aspect of the game. The ability to teleport is key to surviving any string. No matter what the situation is or how dire it may seem you can teleport “INTO” block from anything in the game. So long as you are in block you can not die. Even if you have no energy. That doesn’t mean much but with the amount of ki blasts and nova explosions it can save you a tremendous amount of energy lost.
I’ve read a couple of post that states the games broken engine in terms of infinites. Well for all those that do not know, after careful evaluation of the game I’ve learned this. You can teleport from “ANYTHING” in the game. Its all about timing. Once you mastered the ability to recognize hit confirmation, the second you are about to be hit press the “O” button. You will teleport to temporary safety. If you’ve been placed in a combo and or Dragon dashed, Press the “O” button and you will teleport to safety. Yes…it is easier said than done but if you practice enough you will get the timing down. Please keep in mind that Ki is required to teleport, hence Ki Management is vital.
I’m going to talk to Big Eric about hosting this game at NEC this year. The Empire will be posting a sponsored cash prize for the tournament. The Empire has taken great interest in this game and will push to develop the community around it. Look forward towards the future.
Nice. About time more people start realizing the timing aspect of this game.
Just FYI, hitting O to do teleports does not cost ki. It gives you blast bars.
and to elaborate on that further…defensive teleports don’t cost ki…offensive teleports do…(i.e. teleporting a kamehameha wave right before it hits you as opposed to teleporting to get around your opponents block in melee)
At this years Expo at the Jacob Javitz we took the liberty of hosting a Tenkaichi 2 Tournament and it contended 15 players. The results went like this
Carlos: Super 17/SS4Goku/Baby Vegita
Tito: Kid Buu/Super 17/SSJ4Vegita
Derick: Broly/Goku/Vegeta
Me: Andriod 18/Janemba/ Andriod 17/ Super 17
Some pretty exciting matches pretty interesting. Tito owned everyone up with his Super 17 and Baby. Alot of defensive techniques displayed throughout the tournament. Finals were recorded and hopefully will be uploaded soon.
^^Nice work. Looking forward to seeing those match videos.
On another note, I’m visiting my cousin today. Plenty of match vids should be uploaded from us tonight or later during the week.
