Specs my nigga, already?
I think the only thing they missed there was the ability to tag in with a super, without dhcing.
What if Bamco go instead with Capcom in producing DBFZ rather than ASW?
The gameās initial presentation probably had selection of assist type, has level 3 super as the most consuming, no gameplay footage other than screen shot but it already had DLC costume and character silhouette already.
Because Capcom like teaser and gimmicks rather than showing us relevant interesting stuff

Wait how about the preorderā¦
DLC Costume?
Like I said. DHCs actually having no prerequisite to do them with ANY super is actually the craziest thing in this game right now. Thereās insane potential in that.
Also, based on those vids posted above, something pretty important: if youāre moving forward fast enough, Vanish will whiff completely. I donāt know why I didnāt think about that; it means assists are even more necessary, but superjump forward is a decent way of just avoiding Vanish junk at all. Stillā¦Frieza assist hits at superjump heightā¦
The best thing about this game is that the characters will always be āon modelā lol
The only video Iāve seen with it happening had Gohan Raw DHCing after a Special. (Wasnāt even an EX, wtf) So maybe itās limited as a Super-esque cancel?
I like the idea. Would be a great way to tag out offensively.
Canāt wait to DHC Gohanās Death Glare Kamehameha into Gokuās Warp Kamehameha. This game looks sick.
By the way, does anyone know if the EVO side tourney will be streamed and where?
Nah, thereās been vids of it just done outright without any move beforehand. Itās basically just switching characters but you come in with a super. The fact that you can do it even during specials and normals tooā¦Man.
Iām gonna have so much fun labbing this game and finding every bug I can.
What.
Thatās⦠an interesting design choice to say the least. Especially with stuff like Golden Frieza.
At least the practical applications for doing this on blockstrings arenāt huge, but this does give some insane combo potential, and itās not like meter isnāt thrown around in this game like candy.
(Iām definitely tagging in Piccolo with Special Beam Cannon Day 1, donāt steal.)
I think the only really bad thing about this game is that we still have to wait for it. (And I donāt even get a shot at the beta.) Iām thinking about trying out Xrdās Stylish mode since it is the only thing close enough for practicing, but damn itās going to be a long wait.
No, Iām not worried about power level shenanigans. The whole thing was even covered in the build up to Superās current arc.
Sure, Krillin isnāt going to wreck a whole team anytime soon, but heās versatile enough to be a threat with stuff like his Solar Flare (Now with a super unblockable version in Super) Destructo Disks and Scatter Kamehameha.
I think heās going to be a good zoner with some dope assists but low damage. Especially if he can bend his Kamehameha. I wouldnāt be surprised to see him as an upper-mid tier or even higher with a good Solar Flare assist.
Yamcha on the other handā¦
uh no
Then all hope is lost.
What am I supposed to play after watching footage from that game?
Ultimate āIf you wanna win pick Vergil! Doctor Doom!ā Mahvel vs Crapcom 3? Mahvel Meme Factory vs Arthritis 2? DLC Fighter 5? lol MVCi?
I might actually study or something. I canāt pick up a controller in this state. Dang.
Xrd regular mode would be betterā¦
assuming you have a basic understanding of fighting games.

I do. (My problem is mostly execution)
Itās just that Iām not used to auto-combos anymore, and since I canāt really play GG anyway, might as well get used to it. Since the engine is similar, I might as well try to get back in shape.
There is no reason to get used to auto combos because they are sub-optimal. They are just intended to be a crutch for new players.

Not in that sense.
Persona 4 Arena had an universal auto-combo system.
Thing is, some normals were exclusive to it, and there were some really good normals there, not to mention completing the normal part of the combo landed you 12.5% super meter, but knowing when to stop it or chain into different specials for better combo routes was very important in that game.
With DBFZ having auto-combos for all normals, I want to be able to get used to checking which attacks are actually good and how to branch out better combos for them.
Considering how much of the Xrd engine was ported, Iām guessing the AC system was based on stylish mode, so I want to get used to it.
Akihiko had great auto combo normals.
getting used to auto combos? you have to get used to (maybe) having to press 1 button 3 times in a row (if there are even auto combo specific moves which I donāt think we have evidence of yet)?
Freiza was already shown to have unique moves from auto combos
So I bit the bullet and watched DBSuper. I actually really liked it once I got over the God awful art style.
Iām hoping Hit and probably the base Rose version of Goku Black make it in.
Hit probably getting time stop Custom Combos sounds amazing.
I hope Hit walks around with his hands in his pockets.

Akihiko was sick. Iāve never played a character that fun.
Hopefully Hit will get some of his moves. Including the auto-combo.

I hope Hit walks around with his hands in his pockets.
I donāt. That was the thing that bothered me the most about his base form in Xenoverse.
Sure, itās really cool when he stands still, but when he starts flying like that, things get ridiculous.
