Akira Toriyama called it Z (the last letter of the alphabet) because he thought it was going to be the end. A large portion of its success is due to editors and the quality of the animated series’ localization in the States.
I never expected the majority, I just wanted an interesting character that only had relevance in Dragon Ball and played no relevant role in DBZ or Super. There is no relevant character in DBZ or Super that has as much characterization or unique techniques as Kid Goku, Launch, Mercenary Tao, Mr. Popo, Ox-King, Roshi, Tien, or Piccolo Jr. did in Dragon Ball. Even those that cameo are reduced to only a few lines and techniques. That is my view on the matter. You are free to have your own.

The unique techniques in DB are extremely overrated honestly. Now I’m not gonna pretend Z is the bastion of great creativity, because FUCK NO it isn’t, but DB gets overrated just because it looks better in that aspect in comparison.
Janemba, broly, and hit are the characters I really want, I think broly is in for sure, hit/janemba would be a pleasant surprise.

The thing is everyone can pull in a relative example but the problem is the “game mechanic” and the game mechanics is to represent “DBZ saga” like combat so more likely it’s about Z warriors even Yamcha is in because were not talking about power levels or strength here other than gameplay mechanics.
Theey could pull in the unconventional characters with unconventional gameplay but reserve it to those that are memorable in conflicts. Not about sexual appeal, bad ass moment and political correctness because DBZ is fictional reality doesn’t compromised to those idea. Reserve the 10%-20% of unconventional gameplay cast to deserving characters that can offer interesting variety of creative gameplay experience not fanservice or be like a MVS’s Norimaru.

If you consider a Marvel Shinku Hadoken a laser, then it’s much harder to find characters without lasers. Kamehameha is a fucking big ass laser.
