I know for Trunks the lock is the sword version because of way too many reasons it’s a waste to point out, but Super Saiyan Trunks with the ponytail is still one of my favourite designs.
Would be cool if he had a sort of stance where he drops his sword to fight, then a costume like that could work out with or without the sword.

I think that the Future Trunks that we will get is the one from Super, from the Zamasu/Goku Black arc.

Well Trunks from Super still has the sword so I think it would still be fine. Mostly what’s iconic about Trunks is the sword, at least for me, I don’t really care if he is blue or regular super saiyan.
