And I disagree with this on principle in that SSJ2 Gohan and Adult/Mystic Gohan are 2 completely different people straight out of the gate. Meanwhile SSJB Goku and Vegeta also should be different characters compared to their regular counterparts.
I agree with everything else though(aka have the Goku we see now have SSJG as his install and SSJB Goku have SSJBxKK as his install and Gohan’s is his Full Power Mystic Form as seen in Super).

Just hope if they do use transformations just make them unique.
Most transformations should just be the intros and just have it their most iconic versions, which is what they seemed to be doing

The character models are on different “layers”. This is so they don’t clip into each other when limbs hit. All 2.5D fighters except NRS’s games use this. It helps make them feel like 2D sprites.
I’m totally used to that from 2D games but I’ve never notced it before in a 2.5D game before. Does it do this in SF4 or Marvel 3?
Yes, although Capcom turns it off for throws in their games.

If Gotenks makes in, I would like to see his ghosts being used in a way like Robo Fortune’s heads. First you have to set one and it will remain at your side. Then, you can throw them at your opponent. This could make Gotenks a fine setup character.

People wondering what to do about the homing dash action. Ya know where you hit the button and your character gains the aura and has priority over normal ki blasts? There is the exact same mechanic in one of my favorite fighters Psychic Force 2012. It’s literally the same mechanic. Press a button to get a homing dash that negates light projectiles and gets you in your opponents space. If your opponent blocks, the one that initiated the dash actually has frame advantage!!! Fucking insane right? Here is the trade off. If you get hit out of the Hyper Dash in PF2012 it’s an auto counter hit state. 25% more damage, more stun, and you reel back further meaning chances are you will eat a full wall bounce combo. A bad Hyper Dash could cost you 50% of your life.
So I wondered if the same thing happened in this game. Arc Sys HAS to be smart enough to know that a homing dash would be pretty OP without a solid counter measure right? Sure enough when I was watching a vid with Maximillian, his opponent did a homing dash and max struck him out of it. Loud and clear I heard the announcer yell “COUNTER!!!” in traditional Arc Sys fighters fashion, as well as seeing Goku flash red indicating that he had been struck for a counter hit.
Do not block homing dashes. Fuck people up for being stupid enough to abuse it neutral. Slap the saiyan loving dog shit out of them.
Not all of the filler is gone though. Just a majority of it is and entire arcs.
