God I can’t wait to play broly. Not only does he have a barrier to soak up Ki but he also has a Ki blast you can’t super dash through. Haha

“Another” nerf ?

It was nerfed from the beta, but also buffed.

  • Less damage
  • No longer misses in the corner

Erm I don’t think development changes qualify as nerfs

Realistically it’s not a final game nerf, but it was definitely a different beast in the beta.

Past that, just don’t nerf the vegetable assist. I’m calling Broly assist not having armor and just being surprised if it does.

We have footage of Broly assist getting stuffed by Vegeta assist. Even if the move has armor, it’s not on frame 1 so given the dude’s swole frame I doubt it will do much

As for Vegeta assist, I’m only in favor of having multiple assists. A nerf to Vegeta by making everything else better is the dream, but if they nerf Vegeta to be on level with anyone else either I’m not shedding any tears

If they nerf Vegeta to be on everyone else’s level then that at least buffs beams, but makes the assist meta ridiculously boring at that point. I don’t see how they can nerf Vegeta assist at this point though so imagine it’ll be the same.

Broly assist having some type of armor though is better than nothing.

Easiest way would be timing. Perhaps he takes longer to get into position or the move doesn’t last as long.

An interesting choice would be to change the properties so that each of the balls causes slight knockback. If they get hit on the ground they take the full damage, if they get hit into or fall into it, they fall out. Nerf its combo potential.

Yeah I suppose that makes sense. But then Chun-li VT took a huge nerf in you opinion? I dunno, it’s expect for developers to go back and tune stuff. This for sure happened since the 90’s we just didn’t have betas and development updates back then.

I think Alioune hit the problem with Vegeta assist, it’s the only assist that IS your neutral. Everyone else’s is too slow and the limitation where if you or the assist get hit it goes away prevents this from being mahvel.

So either they tune Vegeta assist or make the other assist more abusable in neutral. Spawn positions, startup, etc.

Max has a clip showing Vegeta assist reduced in number of hits.

What? I can think of 10 ways to nerf this dumbass assist. Less duration, make it spawn on top or front instead of behind the character, make it use up your smash, make it not cover everything etc

Nerfing Vegeta assist is the #1 thing they should do atm, it’s so mind-numbingly braindead and it’s so far ahead of every other assist that they need to nerf it as well as buff the others unless every team having Vegeta is their goal.

Even if the other assists get buffed fuck his assist staying as it is shouldn’t happen it’s too dumb. Covers offense for 2+ mixups, converts any stray hit free, extends after anything including supers, covers the whole godamn screen, spawns behind so you can use it as a defense line and it covers vanishes too coz Vegeta sandwiches you between him and the point.
It’s gotta go.

Doesn’t matter. The important thing is it doesn’t lock people down for as long
