Is the red headband iconic to him? I was kind of hoping that it would have alternate palettes along with the color changes.
EDIT: Just read it’s related to being soaken in blood in honor of those soldiers who have fallen.
It’s a reminder of his fallen comrades so yeah, it’s pretty iconic and important to him.

Starting to wonder if they should make the squares invisible when prompted for a match. Sick of getting dodged even in casual matches when all I want to do is learn Teen Gohan outside of training mode. I’m just an orange square with a super saiyan 2 rank and this is getting annoying. I like how SFV keeps it blank excluding connection.
I get that the square system has been in past games but ffs man, I never dodge anybody unless the connection sucks.
Fox just tweeted he DL’d go in offline casuals. GO tweeted “sonicfox too strong” according to google translate.

Damn, just thought of some more ideas with yamcha but stuck at work for the day 
I feel like yamcha should be able to get a semi infinite on standing characters while in sparking, unless his divekick causes a crouching state

Fox. If he was that good at DLing GO1, it shouldn’t have taken him 22 games to figure him out in tournament. Makes me think there were extenuating circumstances. Tournament fatigue or something I dunno.
Naw man, that totally doesn’t apply. Ive met people that I can DL in a game or 2, I’ve met other people that I never got the DL on and I’ve met people where it took me months to figure them out and consistently beat them straight sets. Fox is going up against Japan’s best who is using the best character in the game. That’s not something you just DL right off the bat. I’m pretty much convinced that fox had to go to training mode and learn to fuzzy most of GOs A gohan blockstrings. That’s not something that was just going to happen in set.
Having said that, I also said right after the first set against GO, that fox was playing better dbfz. It was pretty obvious if you know what fighting games are about fundamentally, which is why I said I liked fox over GO easy if fox picked up A gohan. But it seems that fox didn’t even need to pick up A gohan. A testament to his skill. I expect GO to comeback though. GO hasn’t been tested like this before fox so I expect him to have adaptations.

There’s always stories of someone getting downloaded in offline/money matches, after, but that’s after the fact. That’s the story of like every Marvel rivalry ever. What’s in history for now is the FT10 and the tournament. The fact that GO1 was put in losers by the next best person who plays with him the most (Dogura) and still was able to wash Sonicfox the first 3 matches and put him in losers shows that he was still very ready for Sonic in tournament. If Sonicfox had somehow washed GO1 those first 3 games, then there’d be a lot of rhetoric going around that Sonic is already the best. Nobody can challenge him after winning 3 tournament matches in a row.
Like J.Wong was known for being able to beat top players with their main team in Marvel 2 while he was using joke around teams, but that’s just part of having marvel/anime fundamentals on that level. In Marvel 3 J.Wong still put up hella work using Wolverine/Storm/Akuma, but it clearly wasn’t a team that was better than Morrigan/Doom/Vergils, Zero/Vergil/Dantes or anything with Phoenix on it. He just made the best of it.
Either way I still expect Sonicfox to change up his team. GO1 said in his interview that he believes A.Gohan is broken and I definitely dont think there’s any point character as cheap as A.Gohan. Only one that comes close is 16. Which means at minimum Sonicfox will pick up A.Gohan. GO1 is that dude in anime right now, but knowing Asians/Japan another one of them could easily rise up to his level in the game and then Sonic will have more challenges. I’m sure there were things GO1 learned in that set also and he’s going to use that for NCR or whatever is next. Don’t think anyone will surpass Sonic in America other than Chris G. Chris G is the only other person with strong enough fundamentals to challenge him from the US. He just firstly needs a cheaper team as although Trunks has potential and he is using Vegeta assist, 18 just wont ever be cheap enough.

Trunks has better normals, at this point an arguably better assist (situationally good for some characters although still far off from Vegeta), better movement with his command flip stuff and with tech will likely lead to better mix up also.
The one thing that was really hyped up about 18 (her ability to blow up assists with her EX special), is rarely ever used so that leaves her with everything else that basically isn’t on the level of Trunks. Especially considering Vegeta assist is the only one worth using that anti assist move on any way. 18 has potential, just not top tier win tournaments regularly with potential. Trunks is still off from that ATM, but is closer to getting there than her. If she is on a winning team she will definitely have been carried by the other characters. It’s not like her anti assist move will have like hail storm like effects in the neutral to make her the Storm of the game or anything.
I want to add to this a bit.
Change The Future needs to be mentioned with Trunks for the sheer zone control it grants. It’s a giant explosion that eats up the screen, is mildly spammable, and hits in the air. A strategy alone it does not make, but it does force your opponent to be more careful about his approaches
The main gameplan for 18 is to get you to the corner and pressure you to death. Why would you not just use A.Gohan for that?

Yea I pretty much have the same thoughts. I think her barrier, ex negate assist, and snap back setups have some good potential
Do you think we’ll get a gameplay patch along with Broly and Bardock? I thought they might have gone the pre-patch so it’s easier on servers on DLC day, but that leaves a large opening for people to hack the DLC playable. Since we don’t have videos of them playable I’m assuming it’ll be a ‘day of’ deal
