I can’t fucking wait to see this game’s story mode, holy fuck it’s gonna be hype
So far every(?) single ArcSys made fighting game had an Instant Kill system in one form or another.
I’ll only be surprised if it was actually left out, but knowing how iconic that goddamn Spirit Bomb of Goku’s is, I’m sure that thing and other horribly awesome attacks will be in.
Question is, with Goku’s Spirit Bomb, Vegeta’s Final Blast, Cell’s Self Destruct and Frieza’s Krillin Killer (LOL), what kind of IK’s will Gohan and Fat Buu have?
Maybe instead of taking up other slots they can do like a system where you choose your transformations? Like you can choose to transform to ssj3 Goku and it has it’s strengths and weaknesses, or transform to ssjb and have it’s own strengths and weaknesses , think of it as almost a mxk variations or even isms , grooves etc…
I think it would be cool to just have them as alternate costumes to be honest. It might cause problem for stuff like Goku who go SSJ3 during his super, so what if you pick the SSJ blue? If he reverts to SSJ3 it’s weird.
Other than that I think it would be nice.
Mercenary Tao flings a tree at his enemy and it shows his opponent flying into space. Destroyed.

Friezas Krillin Killer is already a normal move and as well as Vegetas Final Flash being a current super.
Frieza could easily get Supernova or his planet busting punch from Resurrection of F as an instant kill.
They would really have to get creative at this point.
Only 20% done and the amount of detail and fan service is already trough the roof. I can’t wait to see what the full game looks like.

I think Goku will have a ssjb transformation they just didn’t have it in the build, so will vegeta
Maybe, if they showed incomplete characters… it is some nasty mixup they pulled.
Just doesn’t make sense that golden freiza would be in and ssjb wouldn’t
The Super Blues will probably be their own slots. Not only for the sake of obvious marketing (gotta keep up with what Super offers as the face of the franchise now), but also since Goku and Vegeta utilize newer/updated moves in those forms.

And that game was before he learned stuff like the [details=Spoiler]stacking Kaio-ken on top of Blue in the U6 v. U7 tournament, and the Mafuba/Containment Wave later on in the Goku Black arc.[/details]. Arc would have plenty to work with to make sure the Blues were as unique as Sol was to Order Sol, in other words.
But she did say that they won’t have two slots for the same characters. As in not two Goku.
Maybe blue would be just a transformation hopefully is. SSJ4 is the only thing that needed to be separate IMHO.

That’s not exactly what she said. She confirmed that, yes, transformations will be a part of certain characters’ supers (like SSJ3 was with Goku) or installs (like with Freeza), But she did not explicitly de-confirm Blue Goku being a separate character in the same breath. And didn’t have to, because the way the question was asked, she was able to be a bit more evasive and non-committal about it. It’d also fly right in the face of a guy I know on GAF who both was aware of this game’s existence months prior and said he saw Goku Blue as his own character slot, months ago. Which would make sense, because Super Blue is not just a transformation, it’s a separate version of Goku who reflects how the character has evolved in Super, and so uses different techniques that reflect that much.
Because Vegeta has always been short…

Well there we go, I finally have something to nitpick about this game. Wasting a slot on the same character instead of getting someone new, probably with reused assets. Arcsys don’t Capcom us pls.
Also because DBZ has a lack of certain archetypes, I wonder if they’d go as far as create new characters altogether. That’d be sick considering there’s barely any female chars to choose from. Or grapplers, maybe they can put Toppo in, but he doesn’t look particularly cool (imo).
