You happen to suffer from motion sickness when playing fps games as well?
I got motion sickness and I feel terrible when playing shit like GG, DBFZ or Skullgirls for too long.
nope, can play that genre without issues for hours. same as with sf or tekken ect but this game is just draining for me.
i dont play rushdown in other games so maybe thats it that i am not used to playing it and getting constantly opponents who have to do it.
i hope i just need to get used to itā¦its a new game, week oldā¦first impression is kinda frustrating due to me having a hard time but i stick to it for a while and see how its going. hit on the other hand is someone i shouldnt touch before i get that feeling of and can handle the game overall.
Itās funny that people are complaining about regular super dashes considering that by the time they start to even figure those out, theyāll have to learn about sparking blast super dashes.
Sparking blast super dashes pretty much require you to stop them before they make contact. Otherwise once you block them they keep their forward momentum which most likely makes them plus on block and can be jump canceled. Meaning even the Lord Knight passive punish wont work. It turns full derp once you spark up.
Vanishes will also get more derp in sparking blast as you can cancel the auto blocwback attack into air buttons and start pressure.
The empty vanish though gives you way more time to 2H it, my answer to sparking is superjumping nonstop while blocking and air 2Hs to run away till itās done. Itās even better if you have someone like Beerus that has a derpy j.2H for maximum air stalling.
you could do that in regular play too. you can make 99% of the people playing this game rage by just jump backing and then IADing out of the corner, this gameās throw system isnāt great for handling people in the air, but iād be happy to be proven wrong.
Runaway/chicken block is the default answer to burning out stuff you donāt know about, but against better players you will get trapped in situations where you have to deal with shit and then are forced to use the more reactive options.
I think level 2 sparking is going to be really strong when people start using the perks of the sparking blast along with an assist. People are going to have to learn to start using deflect effectively.
On another note, I always forget raw vanish is plus on block. I always get blown up for trying to take my turn.
Vanish is stupid strong in this game. I wonder if on non-corner scenario it could be worth to eat the 1k dmg from a raw vanish and going back to neutral instead of having to eat a whole blockstring with everything and risk eating a biggass combo from it.
Itās rare to actually block a vanish though. Usually only happens during blockstring and at that point it should be plus since itās pretty much a Roman cancel.
I mean more like post chicken block chicken block. The anti chicken block in MVCI only works vs tight string/meaty stuff. Once youāre in the actual air youāre good to go.
Thatās usually the way people stall out what they donāt know about is just to go up in the air and hold up back or fly around and stall. Probably just a lot more character specific who will be able to air stall in this game if anyone.
Thatās why Iāll be interested to see what the game looks like when people use reflect more. Although reflect seems to worry like a Melty Blood parry where you have to have the read for it to work. Canāt OS block then use it like Marvel pushblock since it canāt be used in block strings.
@dialupsucky I remember you talking a lot about how reflect was going to change a lot of things. I know you said some things changed before launch, but right now it looks like part of the reason why the game is so HAM right now is nobody is really trying to use reflect. Which even then if they use it it just seems to push them out to go right back in later on any way. Not sure if any actual advantage is gained or if itās just like a typical pushblock as far as advantage.
Whatās your take on it now or where itāll go in the meta?
