People can talk about how great a game is and how it should be played all the time. Doesnāt mean much of anything if they didnāt get it themselves.
The ones that will support the game will almost 1 for 1 be the ones that are buying the game. And the ones who should buy it are the ones who should want it.
I think that one is already covered.
I mean, when the people who do the DBZ Abriguided are posting memes on how asw killed capcom, you know that the reception of this game is not only good, but also is starting to get into the masses.
TBH, i am not really seeing mvci recovering from this blow, it has become the butt of the jokes, the same for capcom.
And it is starting to go beyond just the fgc or the dbz fans.
I am seeing people who donāt actually follow neither of those posting memes and stuff related to this.
At this point is not only that mvci looks ugly, but also that everyone is making fun of it, it is like mass effect andromeda all over again.
I could talk about how wonderful a game VF5 was, and how it was a great precursor of everything a FG should be. But I never bought it. What does my word mean compared to anyone whoās actually played it? At best, Iām only parroting what someone else has said and obviously I personally didnāt care enough to buy the game myself.
I can talk about how great a game is, how it should be the headliner for the FGC, and how fantastic ASW is doing but it doesnāt mean anything if I donāt get it myself. For those who donāt get it because they donāt like DBZ, or donāt like that style of game when it comes to the chaos, theyāre also gonna be less likely to give it the positive support.
Bit weird to explain but positive traction in this very specific part of a games lifespan sets the stage for itās future. Not only is it making a fool out of itās competitor but the positive feedback from every facet of the community is spreading the game around like insane free advertisement. They donāt even need an advertisement campaign at this point.
Again, hard to explain. It wonāt work for a game like VF5 at this point in itās life cycle.
Well I am in an awkward position. I really do not like Dragon Ball Z at all. That said I am totally willing to play this game. I like Capcomās IPs and dislike Dragon Ball Z but this really is a better looking Marvel VS Capcom than Infinite currently is and while I would like to play both this one is weirdly more appealing.
I am in a similar position. I am not a fan of Dragonball and donāt know shit about it.
But this game looks exciting and way better than MvC:I. Canāt replace SFV for me though, but itās fine, I donāt need one game to kill the other like most people on Twitter these days, I like multiple Fighting Games living side by side.
You donāt need to know anything at all about DBZ to appreciate this game. I grew up with DBZ but Iām definitely not the biggest fan of it. I donāt buy most of the games and havenāt seen a lot of Super(yet). I am totally anamored with this game because I love the 3v3 tag/assist system from MvC2 and Iām totally fed up with Capcom, and Iām a huge fan of 2D hand drawn animation and this game(and GG Xrd) are the first games that really captured that feel for me. Itās like the perfect storm fighting game Iāve always wanted.
The only thing i hope is that the characters wonāt end up too shallow, the depth seems to come mainly from the universal mechanics.
Iāll ofcourse reserve judgement as it hasnāt even been 2 days, so iāll wait for the Beta so i can form a real fleshed out opinion.
