Blocking usually isn’t a good thing in Crack Team Games, unless you’re doing it for a quick reversal, so it shouldn’t be easy to reward.
You gotta win the neutral if you wanna do your flashy stuff.
Even though its a fighting game, I wouldn’t put sfv in contrast to dbzf but marvel. Overheads in general should grant you a mixup/sparkling combo if you land it, not abuse it because it’s safe. It should give your opponent a slight chance to attack should they press the right button.
You are right, it should reward offense, but it doesn’t make sense for someone to mash stuff that looks unsafe then get a chance to continue to do unsafe stuff because the block stun is wonky. Your only hope is to mash 2H to break the offense? Not everyone has an answer like Nappa or Krillin
Auto Correcting, non confirming proximity Auto combos? Why? Okay, so you cant see the bottom of the screen during air recovery and when you drop down the opponent is mashing 5A and its crossing under and if you guess wrong you get launched again. I dont understand why auto combos cant function properly
Since this game is a tribute to marvel in a sense, pushblocking should be available to you within block stun, not only for incoming offense.

Even though a lot of stuff is safe on block, they are also negative.
Offense can be really nasty in this game. I think that’s why they allowed deflect to work on mostly everything.

Also, characters dont have very many lows. If you play it patient on defense you can look out for their low in their string and then not have to worry about it again until they start up another string. So between that and grabs being broken by a single button press, you can actually react a little easier on defense than most other games.
I understand that, but I’m just find it odd that the game kind of rewards mashing(imo). I have no problem with getting hit with a successful auto combo, but what happens afterwards and other properties behind it can be problematic
Thing is, it doesn’t matter if an overhead is safe on block. EVERYTHING is safe on block thanks to assists
Once people have an idea of frame data and spacing of their normals, mashing is going to get blown up just like any other game.
Assists isnt a problem, it’s supposed to grant you safe pressure in the game. Even though Adult Gohan is mini-zero with vegeta, i dont see that being too much of a problem. Stuff that like seems functional. It might make me salty, but good mix ups like that do it to you

Sure, if someone in particular disrespects you, go ahead. But simply shouting to the world in a similar manner will just make 99.9% of people coming to your info (who have no knowledge of your situation) just question your attitude and get turned off by it. There are plenty of other lab monsters and fighting game enthusiasts, they’ll get their information elsewhere.

Hell, I’ve been saying and finally put out the video that shows you can Happy Birthday people into Cinematic Supers like Accel Dance which could mean you can get assists into things like Goku Black’s lvl 3 and possibly even Beerus’s Hakai/GoD Pluck lvl 3 when in most games like Marvel, the assist will not be carried over into those types of attacks.

Beerus is a lot of fun but it’s hard to get much use out of his orbs since the meta in the beta at lower levels is super dash for days.
Im really liking using his qcf.S into qcb.S, it disperses all the orbs throughout and above the stage and kind of snows down.
Does anyone know if there’s a reliable way to combo off of j.qcb L?
