Couldnt tell ya, like I said ive never gotten all 3 bomb loops but if you can get 2, its plausible to assume you can get 3 and potentially evenmore with the right character and distance as long as the tech buffer isnt to severe.
And for damage as well its hard to compare because just getting 2 is so butt fucking hard let alone in this training environment. From what I said I would really just take it as yes you can combo in and out of bomb at least once quite realistically. Naturally I would assume it does more damage than not doing it. But I havnt been concerned about finding exact damage, just trying to prove the concepts themselves right now.
On another note I cant say how many characters can do it but I did test a bit before I recall noticing during the summer that freeza could sweep to homing dash. I noticed goku could as well now, however gohan can not it seems sadly. Potentially interesting because if anyone can figure out how to homing dash land combo. We can get a whole other chain combo in with out wasting a smash. It was shown even in the last videos that it is possible to do enough stun from a raw homing dash and land to a hit to combo. but for the life of me no matter how I am trying to distance it, it is not working. Maybe they took it out of this build? Or just much much tighter and specific than I had hoped.
Played all day yesterday and couldn’t stop. This game is really something else man. I’m having more fun than I’ve had in a lonnnggg ass time with a fighting game. Everyone has similar controls while still feeling very different from each other. I think this is brilliant because it doesn’t completely overwhelm the new fighting game players with learning three characters at once, while giving people like us a level of depth that is satisfying to learn and master.
Everything just feels so responsive and smooth. Every character I’ve tried is fun and a breath of fresh air from the last. The game is beautiful, runs flawlessly and packs a ton of shit on the screen at once in classic DragonBall fashion. Love that charging ki is also still a part of the meta. That’s one DragonBall mechanic you can ALWAYS count on being there, lol.
Biggest issues have been the netcode. Finding matches hasn’t been hard but it takes a liiiittttle too long imo. Not to mention everyone on the planet seems to have a red bar connection, which can’t possibly actually be the case so I assume it’s a server side issue. But this is just a beta, so, hopefully these things don’t reflect the actual game when it drops.
Overall I think the game is fucking crack. This is definitely gonna be a huge game for me going forward. This beta is pretty barebones and I’m still having an absolute blast playing it. Cannot wait for the full release pretty soon here. I think Arksys has something really, really special here.
The servers are locked down pretty much. Even if you can get passed the Title Screen you are not finding a match. I expect this from a beta though so it’s not too surprising or disappointing. I played a lot yesterday in any case.
While waiting to try and get into this thing, these are the types of comments I love and hate. Gets me bummed that I still can’t play but even more excited for when the time actually comes!
I remember I said i had a team in play that i wanted to start with and after actually playing with some characters i need to just get a feel of everyone
I legit had to tell off a dude on Facebook who was ranting about canceling his dbz preorder and sticking with SFV because of the beta. I was like dude remember how disastrous SFV’s initial July 2015 beta was? Like goddamn.
Naw nothing wrong with expecting quality. But this is a beta test and sometimes shit don’t go smooth. When you start the shit up they say to expect problems and shit. I mean it sucks but its better this shit is found now rather than when it launches.
Not wrong to want quality. It’s just stupid and incredibly unrealistic to expect a BETA to come without even a single problem. People acting like they got cheated on a product they actually paid for.
