Xenoverse fanboys are dumb, I assume if you take them out of equipment centric environments into environments where player skill is rewarded moreso than time invested they’re going to be angry.
Xenoverse gameplay, from what I played of 1(didn’t buy 2 because 1 was so bad) was fun but when it got to the end game just use supers was enough to win, and running gear that give you a metric fuckton of vanishes.
I don’t understand what’s stopping anybody from playing XV2. If DBF was called Xenoverse 3 I’d get it, but it’s clearly a whole new project, disconnected from the Tenkaichi/Raging Blast/Xenoverse line of ‘Simulation DBZ’. Shit… there’s no actual reason they can’t do XV3 in a year or two anyway. I just don’t see why they’re so antsy about it.

i honestly think it’s jealousy. People were legitimately hyped when Xenoverse first came out. Now a different dbz game in a different gameplay style than Xenoverse is getting all the hype and I believe it makes them angry and want to “remind” people that Xenoverse is still “the best dbz”.
Funny enough, even when i like playing XV2, i think that the XV series was a downgrade of what the Tenkaichi series was doing.
Easily, Tenkaichi had fast pace and focused more on the melee without taking away from ki blasts
Raging Blast was really good too, but Tenkaichi’s presentation was way better and the gameplay was more fun tbh
