My biggest gripe with the game is that Supers are terrible combo enders because they lack minimum damage.

Hey for people who know the game and mechanics better - from what Iâve seen in gameplay so far it looks like Piccoloâs hellzone grenade wonât pick up/combo on a downed opponent so itâs mainly for set up after in those situations.
Could you hellzone grenade and DHC cancel into something that would OTG them and then have the grenades extend the combo after that? If so could you not then dash in and get another air combo?
Or would the cancel come out too late to combo?

Supers seem to be able to OTG, so it might be possible.
I do remember seeing a Piccolo combo a few builds back that had his super otg and he linked a level 3 after.

3:20 if the video doesnât go to the right spot. Piccolo uses 18âs mini nuke super to pick up the opponent off the ground and the Hellzone Grenade keeps the combo going up long enough for 18 to continue. Looks like it scales to shit tho. But still cool as fuck

Exactly what I was thinking, thank you. Except I think Iâd want to use android 16 and pick them up with hell flash, let the grenades continue the combo so you can dash in for another dunk combo. It will scale like crazy but look so great.
If Blue Health doesnât change, snapping is going to do as much damage as a super anyway.

Um no I made a post before that saying how I thought it was cool and I hoped they were going to go all the way with it, and make it actually wacky and interesting. Do something with it thats never been in a game before. I was trying to get hype for it. Then I saw the video and I was like wait how could this realistically work. Because it seemed to imply that doing moves etc durning the match could change it blah blah. So I was hoping they were insinuating it was a actual gameplay mechanic. The match gets posted, and not only do we see that its not a gameplay mechanic(at least the ones shown here)its just a character specific opening and ending you can get. Those are in tons of fighting games. So its just something for fun, a more dramatic version for sure⌠but still something thats been in almost all fighting games since we were kids. Certain characters have special openings or special endings vs others. Its always been that way.

I would love for them to do something never before seen in a fighting game like that, a actually sorta strategy of certain moves being better vs certain characters even if its just a smidge. Remember, itâs ONLY a Hakai(or Destroy) to Goku Black, otherwise itâs most likely Beerus actually TRYING to hurt you harder than usual and knocking you the fuck back.
On a more advanced gameplay related note that will be interesting to try to confirm. Which would again lead us once again to believe that the defender is heavily at the advantage in many situationsâŚ
So in this video at one point we see hit flying through beerus fireball venom whatever fireball we want to call it. So thus we can assume it has the priority of a regular fireball. Meaning we can also fly through it or deflect out of it on block stun.
Of course this one is more interesting because of the set up nature of it. So obviously since hes at to much of a advantage to fly through it realistically we want to deflect. Since we know deflect makes us completely invincible as long as one is successful in this particular circumstance we have the chance and potentially the mind set period to try something like this.
What happens when we chicken guard these fireballs? We cant deflect in the air of course, but if we block them low enough to the ground(or perhaps even higher)we could potentially as soon as we see beerus ever try to do any sort of venom shenanigan purposely dash forward jump to air block one. We land on the ground STILL in block stun. Since we are still in block stun for a second while hitting the ground, and all block stun can be canceled into a deflect if vs a move that has the priority of a regular fireball. Well this should be obvious. Any time beerus starts anything purposely run forward, jump into the attack, we hit the ground, then we press the deflect.
We are now invincible to anything he can possibly do till we decide on how we want to attack.
Add this to list of stuff people should deff try immediately because going by the rules of the game and everything we have seen, this seems pretty damn plausible. Again hopefully they change this that successful deflects are at least not throw invincible but will see what happens with the final version of the game.
