Dragon Ball FighterZ: Legendary Saiyans Edition

The damage scaling looks good

Yeah. I noticed that too. Dont think the DB mechanic will matter too much if matches are ending a lot faster.

Jeah, it almost looks like damage is higher or scaling was toned down? I feel characters died quicker in the new footage.

Man where the fuck ROSAT? I need that stage please.

Berrus playing pool with them spheres is legit.

Beerus is looking really nice. Definitely want him on my team. Still haven’t decide on the rest.

That truly clenches that this game will be awesome and no one should really worry about the Dragonball Mechanic when you can basically play the game like Marvel or even super safe and not allow the opponent to get the 6 and 7 star balls and it’s a possibility.
This is on top of the fact that now none of the options past another Sparking Gauge is a gamebreaking option(and even then, Goku didn’t exactly tear Frieza apart when he activated his sparking so it seems like X-Factor lvl 1 then 3)

And as someone stated in this thread, the hardest part of this game is finding a team to actually work with. There are going to be SO MANY DAMN POCKET CHARACTERS in tournaments that it’s going to be ridiculous.

My penis can’t take anymore awesome.

There’s no point in trying to accumulate the dragon balls, I might even think it’s better to avoid getting the dragon balls. The only time it really plays into any kind of meta is if there are already 6 and you do a specific combo to get the last one. If you can get the 6th one and then put them in a situation where you are likely to get another hit and then retrieve the 7th one as well that works too I guess, though it is basically like danger time to have 6 balls and then bet that you will get another before your opponent. Given the huge life bonus and/or potential to get another sparking, it’s something a good player would avoid. We already know that using auto combos gives you a random one, so even if you play a team incapable of hitting 70 hits you still have the potential to turn the match on it’s head by stealing any final dragon ball.

That’s not saying much tbh.

Here’s part 2 of the interview with the devs:

SLAYER BOIZ!!!

Ahh I was wondering about that, why moves seem almost unpunishable on block in some of the footage. Even in this recent vid for example Beerus does that giant flying dive at around 1:47 and Hit couldn’t punish him even when it looked like the move was in the recovery frames. Definitely an interesting design choice, I think the devs essentially want the game to be a nonstop scramble and very chaotic.

Like I said, I think the game is going to be very light on execution and very heavy on playing neutral appropriately with assists and the Rock/Paper/Scissors mechanics of hits, dashes, and fireballs in play.

Anyway, the last trailer was definitely really cool. All of that extra flash like the Dramatic Finishes are special intros were completely unnecessary but still entirely welcome. I can imagine that Goku/Frieza finish being really hype on stream at a major.

Dat detail.

LOL I just saw that Simpsons vid even talking about “experts can still play neutral.” To everyone who intends to grind through rank, Godspeed to you all. You’re gonna have to wade through an army of autocombo mashing madness for at least the first 6 ranks before you start facing anyone with actual neutral and defense.
