That doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. If you notice, a lot of us make a lot of long-ass posts, the key’s the formatting.
Line breaks are fundamental to make a long post concise and easy to read regardless of the amount of information in them.
Regarding the game itself, I believe that ultimately the neutral and use of common airdasher movement options will set the pros apart in this game.
Homing dash is very punishable to just throw in neutral, and that’s without even considering assists by the other character.
While assists like Vegeta are great for pressure, most players are overlooking how powerful zoning can be in this game even without deflect.
Therefore, Neutral-oriented assists like SSJ Goku’s Kamehameha will be very important to characters with shorter reach like Gotenks and Teen Gohan to get their pressure started against zoners like Frieza and Fat Buu.

So this is something most of you will prbably brush off/not care about, but last night I was talking with a buddy of mine who happens to be a well known top Xrd player atm. I asked him what he thought about the dragon ballz. He said he was mostly uninterested, but for reasons mostly unrelated to gameplay.
This game takes forever, games last pretty long
Doing a 2/3 and then later a 3/5 will take forever
Being in tournaments with tons of people is annoying and takes forever
Most of the people in this game will be scrubs
Lots of scrubs means you will make it very far in tournament and have to wait forever to get your tournament matches done, cold hands, lost focus etc
Lots of scrubs will have the same names like shingoku69 and make it hard to find players at tournaments
Sparking blast is going to potentially give you more life and make the game take forever
Shenron if summoned will give you more life directly, OR an extra sparking blast which also gives you more life
Cinematic stuff pauses the timer, level 3’s have especially long timer freezing parts
With proper management, blue health regen for tagged out characters is very fast
For these reasons, as someone who plays guilty gear specifically to level up in, and experience high level tournament play, he suggested that pool play and/or matches outside of top 8 be 1 game.
This is coming from a guy who regularly plays with top EC GG players.

The game’s meta hasn’t even been figured out yet. He’s going off of early, unoptimized gameplay. While it might end up being this way, there’s just not enough info yet to know for sure.

We survived CvS1 and CvS2 tournaments and currently have Smash tournament matches going 7 minutes each match in a 2/3. If we can do that, this won’t be a problem.

Does he not play at EVO? Literally thousands of competitors. Have faith in TOs being able to properly space out tournaments and deal. He honestly sounds like fresh meat complaining about tournament length. These days, tournaments easily last 2-3 days.

This is practically every game, at least at first. You think the 1,500 participants in SFV at EVO were all killers? Stop. Besides, what’s wrong with scrubs showing interest? In order for the community to continue existing, scrubs need to be as welcome as killers. It’s fine if they just donate to the pot and go 0-2. If they enjoyed themselves, that’s what matters.

A lot more whining. I’m getting tired of it by this point. Again, many on this site had to deal with it. I once played in a tournament for about 18 straight hours. It wasn’t ideal but I wasn’t about to cry about it. I came to win and was in no way some pansy-ass wanna-be celebrity about it. Even after I got booted from pretty far into the tournament, I stayed and watched because that’s what competitors do.

You sure this guy plays at pro tournaments? TOs know how to handle this as they also ask for your actual name so in case this bullshit does happen, they can shout you out. Either way, it’s your responsibility to be where you have to be. Know your pool, have a schedule on when you play, and if there’s a conflict explain it to a TO because–AGAIN–they are trained for this.

That everything ive speculated about the game being constantly proven true was dumb luck but in fact all it took was watching matchs to see what was happening. But you seem to think its impossible to use your brain unless youve played game before to think of any possibilities in it. Well, how have i been right before about all these other games with out playing them? How have I been able to make countless combo videos for games, glitch videos etc, with out playing them. Maybe I just notice weird things and think about it in my head, instead of assuming that things are impossible. Sounds like you are a uncreative person. Things could change, but till they change, everything ive said about the game from the get go has been proven correct so until all these ideas change how can I be wrong?
