Since those screens are from Arcade Mode, he’s looking like a base roster choice. We had 3 Boo saga reps announced, so the big 3 of Super being next makes perfect sense.
I don’t know about that being Hit, but the one near the top right definitely is either Beerus or Dyspo. Here’s hoping Beerus is in the last set revealed.

So Hit and Beerus could just be in the base roster.
Would have been cool if gohan had his saiyaman tunic (without the helmet/cape, like when he fought in the tournament) or the blue kai outfit, so he would be a little more visually distinct. I’m sure they were just basing his appearance on when he fought buu, but we have a lot of characters in the orange GI already.

With the black parts around his neck, and black shoulders, it definitely looks more like Hit then Ginyuu.
The one with Beerus… Sure his head is purple, and has upward ears, but looking at his clothes below his head, it’s all red and black. Now, Dyspo’s clothes around his neck are black, and only the outer shoulder parts are red, which wouldn’t appear in this small portrait judging from his body-proportions. Don’t know how much distortion came from printing and scanning, but as it is right now it looks 100% Champa to me, even if that doesn’t make much sense.
The pink portrait looks like a pink crystal to me at first glance, like Black Rose’s hair, but it’s also a lot like Kid Buu curved into a ball.
And people seriously doubted me that Adult Gohan wasn’t going to be in this game!?
Fucking seriously!? Hold those goddamn L’s guys, hold them all down!
But I’m liking how Adult Gohan seems to work and seeing Kid Buu and Gotenks being his own character is awesome.
Hopefully Hit, Beerus and SSR Goku Black is the final 3 characters and we can really go nuts with the DLC characters in the future.

Still no mention of beta, kinda scary, waiting to announce it till december when the game comes out in janurary would be strange. Why have a beta the week before the game comes out? Just release the game then.
With these 3 released now I think that all but confirms people wanting people like dabura, videl, raditz etc for base roster. If we are to assume next month is the final four characters, and then janurary is shows the first batch of DLC. Cant imagine next would be like… And the final four characters that everyone was waiting for… dabura, videl, raditz, roshi! crowd goes wild
Worried about vegito now though, since it seems more logical now to announce him with someone like a goku black, zamasu or a gogeta. Although I guess one theory to slightly ease my troubled inner nerd, we know blue goku and vegeta are unlockable in the game if you didnt pre order or whatever it was. So saying that they shouldnt be on the character select screen when we first get the game despite of course what we can see on the website. So saying that, is it possible that as we play through this story mode that other characters are ‘unlockable’ as we progress through? So perhaps other characters like goku black, if 21 is the final boss, and vegito are unlockable in the game that way?
Anyway sadly guessing final 4 will probably be beerus , hit, 21, goku black or something like that. They did say the story takes place around goku black arc so it would be strange for him to not be in the game.
Other than that ultimate gohan with this however many bars you use powers him up is potentially neat. And we can see a “level 1” statement next to him as well in the picture. Although I am a little worried bum about if his ultimate really is just a big kamehameha and it potentially being the biggest/most hits statement. I kinda liked the idea/lure of kid gohan having the biggest one sans a vegito or gogeta coming in. I think it makes it more fun and adds to the lure of the story and just gimmick of the game giving him the “best” beam super in the game that can’t be beat or whatever.
Vegetto has some unique moves, and Gogeta has like… one? I’m not seeing them favoring Gogeta over Vegetto, unless they go for his SSJ4 version which is still not that unique.
This is very likely, although I’m fine with it for now, I’m sure the DLCs will give us some more classic DBZ characters later.
Huh? My kanji is pretty non-existent but I thought that during the stream where they accidentally showed Shenron, they confirmed the beta for January and the game to be released on Japan in February.

Nah I think you misunderstood what I was saying. From a gameplay element and with it adding to the lure, gohans father son kamehameha right now is the biggest/strongest/most hits fireball in the game right now. Its fun because it goes along with the lure of story and gameplay wise it can add giving him a gimmick that even full screen theoretically he should always have the best super fireball in the game lets think of it as. So with the tag line along ultimate gohan of him having the highest hitting kamehameha blah blah. I think that kinda takes away a gimmick from kid gohan if that indeeds being the case that now ultimate has the best super fireball in the game. Which doesnt really go with the lure of the character and again kinda hurts the gimmick gameplay wise I think.
Where as if there was a vegito with a final kamehameha or a gogeta big bang kamehamheha if they wanted to give them the strongest/best whatever you want to call it super fireball with one of those my brain could logically see where they are coming from. Id think that ultimate gohan should have some more rush down, or a beat em’ up kinda super vibe.
And ive said many times before i think vegito is way cooler than gogeta so dont misunderstand that either. But they are both important to the lure of the series so they should both be in it eventually.
ah i didnt even see that. I dont get that logic why have the beta in janurary when the game comes out in janurary seems stupid to me.
“Betas” are really used more to generate hype before release these days than to actually test a game. Think of them more like limited time extended demos. Feedback is just icing.
