The animation for body change is also stupidly long and elaborate. It’s essentially a slow and cruel OHKO on a character by swapping it with a gimped one.
Imagine the crowd pop of someone winning the round with gimped ginyu though.
This seems pretty legit since we are still getting new footage that doesn’t have the dragonball meter on screen. That suggests that it’s at least toggle-able in some way.
Looked at the gameplay just some things that changed…
Looks like ill assume I was right again about dynamics. They no longer give free meter. I said from before there isnt much reason to believe that you could not infinite the opponent giving the loop I posted in theory and how to do it. So the fact the fact they took away the meter from it tells me it was true. Maybe I shouldnt post all the game breaking stuff I see cuz it keeps getting taken away. I guess only thought left is still there is the question as to if we can store the bounce it self which is plausible given the system.
Dynamics still give you a free dragon ball no matter what like i said though so look broken in that aspect and pretty stupid. So the meta of having good players go for combos of specific number etc etc doesnt matter because auto combos always give you a free dragon ball no matter what.
Tiens beam was changed to one hit from the other videos.
Vegetas did a hard smash after a single hit of that horizontal special move kick he has. And it did not cause a smash screen now. This would lead us to believe that the move is now homing dash cancelable going by the rules of the game at first glance, unless a property was stored somewhere else but only quickly watched the video. If this is the case we can assume it is possible that all moves that cause a spin effect are homing dash cancelable.
Also I guess said but ya looks like piccolos has a different assist.
and finally I guess already said but guess I was right as well about once you change with ginyu you can no longer use the ginyu force. The move does seem to have invincibility so even if slow seems pretty good
Otherwise off hand those are the main things i noticed mechanic wise from first glance. Bummer about the dynamic, really wish I could have showed the infinite was true in a video, but I guess the fact I posted it here way before hand and now its out of the game we can easily tell will have to be proof enough. First the rushes, homing dash stuff, the vegetas linking after super, then gokus ahvb kamehamehaXn etc. All taken out after I posted them. Guess gotta be more quiet lol
In the anime, 16, 17 and 18 DO NOT POWER UP IN THE SLIGHTEST. For 17 and 18 this is even more blatant because of how they cannot be sensed at all and they need someone else to fight them for Cell to even know where they are.
I’m saying that since Toriyama designed 21, he could have allowed her being able to have outward Ki like that to make her specialized like Cell was and she could be a Bio-Android or a more powerful case than 17 and 18, but she can be sensed by comparison.
There seems to be special intro quotes now. Ginyu vs Goku, Ginyu says something about Namek and Yamcha vs Nappa, Yamcha says something about the Saibamen:
Thank fuck we got a dub this time.
One of my biggest pet peeves of Guilty Gear and Blazblue is that since they went back to Sub, you miss all the small details that Arc-Sys put in their games which includes special dialogue within battles.
Nothing made me laugh more than seeing Noel user her Distortion on Ragna and firing back in such a childish way to Ragna picking on her.
It’s those little things that makes the characters feel more alive.
Tien’s auto combo looks sick.
Ginyu might be a problem, and I’m not just talking about body change. Dude looks like Mahvel and Persona had a baby hooked on crack. 18 and Ginyu mains are going to be cool to watch in tourneys.
Is Nappa going for that Sentinel function? He’s got saibamen and mouth beams, that’s gotta count for something.
…or it could just be an oversight. There have been numerous times in the anime where the Androids have been shown powering up their ki even after that fact was made.
The only thing I ever recall about the Androids are statements on how much power they were using.
Examples: #18 said she was going to stop holding-back against Vegeta, yet does no visible power-up. #17 said he was going to get serious against Piccolo, but there’s no visible change. Future #18 tells Future Gohan they’re going to fight him at full-power and neither do a power-up. #16 fought equally with Cell and has no aura while Cell flares his throughout the fight.
Basically, none of the Androids project an aura or do a visible power-up. In Budokai Tenkaichi, the Androids can “power-up” to full-power only when their normal gauge is at max. There’s still no aura, though.
