Nah I dont think that was it, although who knows id have to see the match again to see what happened as I only noticed the after effect like a lot of other things. I assume what happened with the freeza thing is doing a super right when someone is about to do the throw/dust thing fucks up the game. Strangely enough my memory is fuzzy but I know I posted videos and talked about it before and other bugs but in the original tenkaichi game as well there was glitchs where you could purposely do a move right when the opponent was about to go into the their auto dbzish style of hundread hand slap all over the place and it also bugged out the game in many ways.
As for the cell thing cant say, I just thought people said you can only reflect fireballs, not beams. But at one point in one of the videos the guy was doing deflect animations vs cell, and it was deff hitting him because i saw the hit sparks were still present but of course nothing was deflected. If I had to assume Id think something with a regular fireball was on the screen, or had been blocked recently as well, thus you can then āsort ofā deflect everything you shouldnt be able to as long as you are still in stun from the original attack that is possible to be deflected⦠at least thats my assumption till i see it againā¦
As for the interview im fine with some characters having better assists than others, there will always be things that are weaker or stronger in a game. So if you want to give krillin a destructo disc that is unblockable, but he himself is kinda danish, or a solar flare that stuns the enemy for a free combo thats fine by me. Maybe that could be their way of ābalancingā characters like vegito or something. maybe his assist is pretty shitty, maybe he just flys out and does his line of " i only need my feet to beat you" does a simple low damage counter sorta thing, Hell maybe beerus comes in for his assist and he just belittles you and does nothing but of course hes super strong. Ghetto sorta way of balancing the game but whatever. If me getting to play as vegito and spirit swording, cutting the shit out of people and final kamehamehaing all over the place, means he has to have the worst assist in the game and is useless in that aspect. The nerd me is fine with that. More interesting to me, and probably better than just giving him a piddly fireball, and making him die in 2 combos or something.
That being said actually it would look like vegeta has the lowest health in the game in the game from the matchs so far off hand.
ah ok actually that match with the freeza glitch that happened this looks pretty easy to produce. Dude went for a throw while cell was super canceling, so he activated the throw, dust, whatever its called, he super canceled to freeza then it happened. Not that complicated at all when looking at it again. Seems pretty reasonable as to why it happened.
Thing is no matter how weak character is compare to the entire cast. What matter is how robust the base mechanocs are and if the character in question can use them. Thats low tier specialist still became viable in accent core. The base mechanics were enough to offset shortcomings
Negative penalty never really hinder zoners. It hinders overly passive and defensive play style like run away.
Iām happy with this decision because now i donāt have to feel pressure to take the initiative and actually implored the " let them hang their self" style.
The things is they shouldnāt be to critical on that team synergy building since they are just beginning to attract people, So I am worried if this became very important matter is so soon that the many DB fans may turned off and confused at the very beginning because of the complicated, advanced and technical approach of understanding team building synergy presented already not just a another priority.
They should have start in a very basic fundamental of a 3v3 of team building of choosing character via usability while the assist is not the focus and the core strategy but would be a bonus advanced route like UMVC3 rather than the advanced MVC2 synergy which is never intended. Why? So they can easily captivate people that was in the previous 3v3 system like KOF and UMVC3, then in latter expansions and sequel they could introduced it a gradual phase because they are just beginning.
The learning curve of the assist synergy and viability should have been in the later game rather than start an approach of this game is designed for us not designed for the likes them so soon. So everyone could jump in with basic 3v3 team building understanding then would adopt in a gradual manner in the latter sequel like Capcom does in the previous MVC. IMHO.
Frieza and goku seem far more balanced as point characters than gohan and vegeta, who have insane lockdown assists. If you pick a team of all strong assist characters you will basically make them into strong point characters so long as an assist is available. If you pick chatacters that are all exceptional on point you will create a different dynamic. I like this balancing idea and I hope they succeed with it.
Itās really too early for something to build the overall core focus with āthis guy is just an assist relevant choiceā because they are just beginning to entice 3v3 fans that includes KOF and UMVC3 followers not just guys into MVC2.
Starting to basic 3v3 team building would also easy for their DB fans to adopt or be converted to DBFZ players.
I donāt think thatās what anyone means. Yall are so quick to abandon ship any time anyone says anything itās ridiculous. Is it not obvious that someone like goku with his special full screen kamehameha that he can aim and long normals, is an objectively better point character than gohan with his stubby normals and ridiculous assist? Anyone will be a viable point character with proper composition, Iām sure. Anyway stfu with the complaints. Try to understand their design choices rather assuming you have good ideas and arcsys has bad ones.
Marvel have been making their characters quantity stripped not because of better quality but resources and priority⦠I just hope they would see through MVC mistakes and learn from the the best stuff it used to have.
The fact that you have characters like
SSJ1 Goku, Ascendant SSJ Vegeta, SSJ2 Gohan, Perfect Cell against Majin Buu and Freezer (who has access to his Golden Form) already tells you that the lore has shit to do on this game.
So calm your tits people.
This was already discussed some pages ago, it is very likely that any talk about the āloreā is pure PR talk to appease the retarded side of the DB fanbase.
This game deserves the benefits of a doubt because of there recent works and passion. So Iāll trust them.
Sudden thing I used to remember in the first CVS was the character āratioā that didnāt get to what it was intended to be in the later playthrough.
