Since I’m bored at Cyborg and a thief, here iz some 3rd Strike report cards…
Dan - Playing a wider variety of comp, especially solid other SF game players helped you improve fast. Nice understanding of random and mind of the opponent. Good options for reacting to your opponent’s approach. Divide your play with Ken as a backup, and/or watch how Quotes uses Makoto(one of the only “safe, solid” makotos ever) especially for approaching the opponent. Block more on wakeup, especially when cornered. You have the KILLER INSTINCT - as of right now, you other guys are only showing glimpses of it.
Jordan - You’re gaining experience fast. Developing your Oro strats and picking up tricks on your own is a plus. Keep experimenting with both solid and random playstyles and tactics. Pick up Ken and/or Makoto to learn more basics about the game (solid and “random dps”). Work on making different poke strings and setups. Get more experience against different players however you can (ggpo, travel, etc.). Stop being such a pussy!
Jim - Seem to have a more focused strategy with Chun and as a result are using the appropriate tactics/moves. You got back fierce fireballs super down well. Have most punishes with cr. mk super down. Just gotta get down hit confirm cr mk (ps2 training dummy on random guard). The fact that you know all of this is even better. JUST DO IT
1der - You’re hitting more of your execution and playing more aggressively - keep it up. Let loose, press buttons and get in the fray. Your current style is great, although it seems as it it’s meant for the long run. It may take a long time to develop the experience and go thru the situaitons necessary in that style, but if you go crazy and don’t think as much, you may build up some confidence and it will snowball.
GGs to all yesterday even though it was brief… don’t mind my trash talk, I really don’t mean it I’m just being a goof. I’m practicing my self control to exponge the remnants of the dark hadou in me. You guys need to make the most of your time on da cab instead of goofin around.

Yeah I definitely need to get to the point where I feel fully in control when piloting Makoto. I’m slowly going down that track as I’ve started to figure out how Makoto wants to be played and the sheer mind games of not only me but my opponent; basically her philosophy as a weapon of guessing (Yes I said it strategic guessing lol).
I’m not at that point yet but playing against a lot of people from MD/VA helped me get a good sense of her mind games when I’m not playing people that are used to my Makoto. As for blocking more on wakeup yeah I need do that more, along with looking for tick throws.
The rest of your comments were spot on, it’s good to see all of us leveling up as we go along.

I’d play on GGPO. I really dislike the drive from Montco to Doylestown.
