more like a i hate you alvin club
more like the desi club I joined a few weeks ago
$20 for the day or even $5 for the hour sounds a little steep.
Stop being so chinese Marvin. You don’t live in Hamilton so don’t you give me that I’m poor arguement. LOL
You’re the best Marvin!
It’s not about being chinese. If i were chinese i would have already made a bootleg arcade by now.
I don’t spend $5 at an arcade or at a net cafe within the hour even if i were to buy a drink.
Even shitty players don’t spend $5 in an hour at an arcade. I’d pay $40 a month and easily go there 3-4 times a week
we should do an experiment and take out 3s, and then check back with MArvin on how much he spends …
even i SF4 i dont spend $5 an hour. or even $3 an hour.
Lets just make this a SF3 only “arcade” and call it a done deal.
1-would you attend? Absolutely
2-how often do you think you would? At least twice a week
3-Interested in tourneys? if so, what day would you prefer? Tournaments would be great. Friday/Weekends works well I guess.
4-Your one nominated game you want to see there (even if it wasn’t released for console I might be able to make it happen depending on costs) SF4
5-What type of Joysticks & buttons do you want on the cabinet (Sanwa, Happ etc.)** I really only know sanwa’s (new to the fighting game scene)**
I would definitely show up if there is competition and a good amount of the community attending. However:
Nobody seems to have answered most the legal questions that have come up. I’m sure you’ve done all your research, but how many obstacles do you have to bypass here? I’m not sure how charging people to play console games in a commercial establishment works, are there any rules even?
Is this any different than running an internet gaming cafe in terms of the law?
ask pownz
Touche…
So I guess there might also be a reason they only use 360’s and Wii’s.
shut up Javid!
Of course. Sony is for fags.
money?
although the slim is out now
please!
Don’t bring out the hate just yet…:smokin:
By law it is illegal to use video games in a commercial setting, this law also applies to movies and other software. (this does apply to hardware but without the games the systems are useless.)
The only way to to go around this is to acquire a liscense or ask the publishers directly.
Guys I aM Carthik, youve just been trolled !
There’s easy enough ways to get around this. I’m no legal expert but I’m fairly certain you just say that the money paid is for membership to the ‘club’ and the consoles are there for ‘club’ use. Your club dues are 5 dollars, paid every hour
You guys should start it up yourselves. If you want things done you gotta do it yourself.
That being said, is there an sf4/fighting game club at York U? ( I dont attend so I wouldnt know.)
