Downloading Audio and/or Video from YouTube

For starters, I apologize if this has been covered somewhere in Tech Talk before. I looked through the stickies and tutorial threads and generally found things related to game technology. This is the first time I’ve ever posted in Tech Talk, so don’t hold it against me if this is the wrong place to post this.

Now, could anyone help me out with downloading video (or audio only) from YouTube videos and saving them to my PC? I’ve searched it through Google a bit, but most of the time I come up with websites that either want me to download a file that I am not sure of the legitimacy of, or it produces no results.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can use Real Player, it has a Flash video downloader that is standard.

Good to know. Will it let me download just the audio files as well or will I have to do the split on my own?

umm, I think with Real you have to split, I also use a program called SUPER it can convert video to audio.

I was just search the thread and find it too old but it might be useful now. I mainly use http://vidsaved.com which is an online video downloader

How bout we don’t bump 5 year old threads that were resolved 5 years ago.
