Watching people try to defend someone skirting their adult responsibility is pretty hilarious. If you have people who depend on you, you absolutely can not do what makes you feel good because someone has to be responsible for your children (hint: it’s you) and I find it ridiculous this kind of silly self indulgent behavior is deemed ok by anyone. I find that this easier to deal with by imagining these people are in straight jackets living in a mental home far, far away. IMO I think as a society we should more freely use the term “crazier than an shithouse rat” to their faces to express just how far gone they are.

With regards to Bruce/“Caitlyn” Jenner, yeah, America largely seems to have forgotten about him killing a woman with his car as a whole, which is part of why South Park is going in so hard on him and having him kill a bunch of people anytime he seems to get in a car. It’s unsurprising, though, between America’s short attention span and disgusting celebrity worship among its other various failings. As such, I’d argue that he would have gotten off–as far as I know, the charges have either already been effectively dropped or are in legal limbo until next year–anyway even without the sex change between white, rich, and a celebrity, especially since historically being trans-whatever tends to be reviled and still is; “becoming” a woman at that point would just be overkill even with sexism in justice system, especially since death in question wasn’t even murder.
That said, it also wouldn’t surprise me if the gender retooling was an attempt to be manipulative knowing that family. Less cynically, I could also see the car incident being the “breaking point” psyche if he felt guilty about feeling the person, which is possible but seems unlikely since as far as I know he hasn’t reached out to that woman’s family.
