I dunno. Seemed like a pretty stable roster so no matter what the outcome he would have been pissed, and rightly so. Situation would be a lot different if like… EG didn’t do well. Fuck EG. NA Doto trash Doto.
V1lat tweeted that Zai is taking a break to finish school next year, S4 going back to Alliance (lmfao), RTZ to EG (confirmed by Charlie), and Kuro/Puppey free agents. Nothing confirmed yet but that’s the word on the street.
1437 said that Kuro and FATA are joining up to make their own team, and that Secret will continue to exist. I kind of doubt the rumors that s4 is heading back to Alliance, so I guess it’s him and Puppey now. If s4 really is leaving, then it’s just Puppey + 4. Wonder who they’ll dig up.
From what I am gathering
- Zai is taking a year off to go back to school, and this coupled with fact that him and RTZ are good friends, and RTZ clashing with Kuroky (RTZ has posted several pics of them arguing and that he will never play with certain ppl again) probably made RTZ want to leave
- It was more of RTZ forcing PPD/EG to boot AUI as RTZ stated that he would not rejoin EG if Fear was the one being kicked (They werent going to kick Sumail, or Universe)
- Fear agreed that the wanted to move down to support and pave way for RTZs return
- RTZ said he learned and saw lot this year with Team Secret and he hopes to come back as a different person than when he left EG.
RTZ never really wanted to leave EG. Its true they had the drama with him and PPD but it was just a clash of drafting and playing style. Yet when it came down to the moment, they would put their differences aside, focus and won. Even with their differences, PPD went on to say that the previous EG team with RTZ and ZAI was much more talented then the team that won TI5. Now that Zai is done, and RTZ cant play with KKY, hes going back to where he belongs.
Cant hate EG for this move. Real talk, RTZ brings in money. His fan base is ridiculous. Business aside, RTZ is, IMO, Top 1 or 2 Carry in the dota 2 right now, and is a significant improvement over Fears carry. Any team with RTZ is a threat. If Fear can transition into Auis role, then EGs line up would solidify having arguably the Top 2 players in their respective positions.
The other thing about AUI, which came from Eternal Envy, is that hes pretty cancer when the team is underperforming. Aui apparently tilts very easily, and when the team is losing he adds on to the situation becoming more cancerous. We dont know the situation but PPD felt it was the right move even if they won TI5
When did EE say that about Aui? IIRC he said Aui was complacent about not getting first place, even if C9 was doing extremely well during 6.82 and 6.83, which was why Aui was kicked, not because Aui was cancerous. Unless this was a separate statement, but I haven’t heard EE say that at all.
SS nerf is pretty easy. Just needs to have the mana cost on his zapping raised. Shouldn’t be able to zap from fountain to T2 and blow somebody up.
Solar Crest and Glimmer Cape just need recipe costs. Possibly big ones.
As for Aui 2000, only questions here are “is Arteezy a better player?” which is a pretty decisive “yes” and can EG fit him into their team which, again, is a pretty decisive “yes.”
I do wonder if they can really take Fear out of that carry role. He made bank there.

Honestly, all the speculation about Aui is kind of silly. We’ll never truly know how he fit into the team and how he positively/negatively affected it. At the very least, they made the decision quickly, giving him a chance to get onto a new team. EG thinks they will be better as a result and I can respect that reason. Whether or not they’re right will remain to be seen.
Fear can play everything.
Back when EG was still throwing with DeMoN, Fear tried to save the team and switched roles around.
For a pretty long time he was carrying his team on support in those days.
I also remember some ex-teammates of Kuroky talk mad shit about him in the DotA 1 days.
Stuff like he sees people as tools for him to manipulate to reach his goals.
You can’t judge somebody as smart as Kuroky from the shit he says in interviews. He’s very well aware how everything he says affects public opinion on him.
Not saying Kuroky is the culprit for Secret not working out, might as well been RTZ or Puppey or whoever.
It’s just dumb to judge celebrities in general on the basis of the bits you know about them from the media.
You only hear the best and the worst of these people in the media and it’s a shallow picture that cannot describe the person in the slightest.
At this point it’s basically confirmed that at most, Secret now is just s4 and Puppey. If s4 really is leaving, then just Puppey. What a train wreck.
I think RTZ said on stream that he was having issues with Kuroky, but Puppey is one of the best players he’s ever played with, personal skill and mentality-wise.
Zai and 1437 (manager of Secret) backed up RTZ saying Kuroky pretty much fucked the team over, and much of the internal issue was caused by him. And everything Kuroky has posted is a lie.

It wasnt an offical statement, it was during one of EEs twitch stream where he did Q&A with streamers, and one person asked him to give his feedback on AUI personality. Thats when he chimed in on how he tilts and snowballs on that attitude making a cancerous situation even more cancerous. I cant seem to find that VOD

In retrospect, Tusk’s ult is fine but his utility at level 6 is absurd.
Solar Crest and Glimmer Cape are way too good for their price. I know they are meant to be cheap but good alternatives for poor supports, but their relevance is throughout the entirety of the game. Really good items.
Smoke was only brought up a few times and I remember when it was first introduced to Dota but I think that smoke needs a very slight nerf. If anything, reduce the movespeed increase if anything but again, it’s minor. Smoke is fine and it’s a really strong item.
Bloodstone definitely needs nerfs. That would indirectly nerf Storm Spirit and Leshrac, which is good.
Blink is an item that flies under everyone’s radar but it’s a really strong item. I’ll say leave it alone since it recently got a price increase but that was to compensate for the removal of the mana cost.
Storm Spirit does not need a mana increase on Ball Lightning. That ability is what makes Storm Spirit the hero he is. If anything, he needs an Overload nerf. You can’t trade hits with him in mid because of it and a few right clicks from it will kill you. Did I mention that it has an AoE AND a slow? That ability is pretty damn good. But I think that he is fine. Maybe I’m biased since he’s one of my favorite heroes.
I’d disagree on this. Storm doesn’t need to be able to zap from one end of the map to the other in order to retain the same feel as the character.
Though an overload nerf would likely do the trick as well.
Storm being able to zip in from long range and do a shit ton of damage at the cost if his mama pool is fine. That is very situational and for team fights you need his ult for mobility, not damage. If any nerfs need to be done, probably to either Remnant or Overload. I think Remnant is the better choice since I think nerfing his farming speed is better than needing his laning, which is already not that great since he loses many mid matchups.
I’m not sure how you would nerf Bloodstone since that item was irrelevant for a long time because it was so weak.
I think we can all agree that Storm Spirit is really effing strong, which I’m happy that we’re all on the same page. However, I just think that nerfing him outside of Ball Lightning might be the way to go. Storm can’t really get away with zipping long distances without any real items anyway. Even if you go Bloodstone after Orchid, a good distance ball lightning zip would take a good amount of mana. But yeah, I think an overload nerf would do the trick. He just does way too much damage with that.
Bloodstone needs a small nerf. On heroes that snowball out of control like Storm Spirit, the moment he dies, it’s practically irrelevant since he’ll be up in seconds. Consider that he’s almost impossible to kill mid to late and can snowball easily, you always have to worry about the quick respawn counter wipe. It just does so much too. Good regen, amazing buildup with soul ring, self deny that heals team, quick respawn if you have kills, etc. I’m not asking to nerf it out of existence but a small nerf would help keep Leshrac and Storm in check.
i really wanna say pls don’t nerf storm just because I play a shit ton out of that hero but that wouldn’t be fair. I’ll take a damage rduction on overload and take old ball lightning vision.
semi related, how do to go about nerfing gyro? Decrease farming speed and the ult cd prolonged right?
You have to nerf Gyro where it counts. He’s one of the only carries who can fight almost immediately. He can fight at level 1 because of how damaging Rocket Barrage is. He’s relevant and ready to go from early to mid to late. But you don’t want to straight up weaken him to the point where he was a few patches ago. Maybe remove the fact that Calldown’s slow goes through BKB. Or increase the spell’s cooldown overall. I wouldn’t want Icefrog to just do a Riot and make him unplayable. Just target one or two areas. Flak Cannon makes sense for him as a hard carry. It allows him to farm and target multiple heroes. If Gyro even gets looked at, he’s dying. But at the same time, his damage output with Flak Cannon is insane. But yeah, I share a similar idea with you in increasing Calldown’s CD. Nothing too big but very noticeable in long haul.
