for the record, the following are bad heroes:
Huskar, Alchemist, Axe, Spirit Breaker, Ursa, and Clinkz.
They all simply have too much going against them to make them worth picking.
Then you have subpar heroes like:
Kunkka, Sniper, Drow Ranger, Bounty Hunter, Bloodseeker, Zeus, Warlock, and Bane.

For euro dota 2, add lycan and syllabear to tier 1, SD to tier 2, panda to tier 3.
For chinese (better) dota 2, add lycan, syllabear, SD, and panda to tier 1, move prophet, anti-mage, seer and brood to tier 2/3. Move batrider to tier 1.
I still miss Slardar with his cloud channel and +6 stat gain ult. KABAM

imo with blink hes a slightly better tiny. without blink hes much worse than tiny.
is his initiation that strong? over other initiators like tide, enigma?
or maybe cuz he can gank and initiate just as well as those two styles?
Nothing escapes a bat + 1 gank. He can take anyone out of a fight long enough for your team to focus them. If you have a roamer, your lane opponent can’t take more than 3 stacks of tar or else he is in great risk of getting ganked. Ult goes through BKB.
Europe doesn’t care about him though. Neither does NA

Finally tried Bane. Awesome char if there’s no teamfights. and your carry isn’t 0-5
Bounty hunter gets picked pretty often actually. He isn’t subpar at all, bones Gets picked on occasion too, but that is far more rare.
SB isn’t a very good hero, he can be stopped really easily with any amount of team work. Any form of disable stops his charge and you can just forcestaff away and he can’t really do anything after that. His damage isn’t the highest and he doesn’t bring much utility to the team at all.
Jaikiro is one of my favorite heroes from dota 1. @hawk, you can’t really judge a hero’s usefulness from just numbers. They help but it’s also about utility, that’s the big name of the game in dota compares to league. Jaikiro’s icepath is an aoe stun, his dual breath does okay damage and has a lower cd and his 3rd skill(forgot it’s name) is godlike for pushing, slows the attack speed of towers, does damage in an aoe on creeps and does damage over time on the tower too(?). And landing a good macropyre can do a ton of damage in teamfights. Kinda like
Rumble’s ult, get it good in a team fight and have people stand on it.
He has really good str gain so he is tanker than most supports.
I think batrider is slept on in dota2. He’s also a blast to play.
P.s. I literally watch (current) competitive Dota very day at work. Mainly d2 but sometimes dota 1 for shits

In dota1 or two? They haven’t been ported over yet for 2 and I song think they are very viable in the competitive scene right now. Centaur for sure I know has very little viability.

I imagine Batrider would be strong in the top level competitive play. When played with surgical precision, he’s probably insanely powerful.
Why is Bloodseeker in shit tier? He seems strong the times I’ve played against him. His laning is retarded and he seems really strong in teamfights. Is there an obvious counterpick in S tier somewhere, keeping him from being useful?
And I’m sure Jakiro brings a lot to the table. He just felt weak. Ice path is amazing, I know, but my damage felt negligable, like he’s not worth picking. I’m not saying one or the other, I’m not qualified to pass judgement on a character as a whole (Everybody in Dota can be amazing IMO), I’m just recalling my experience with him. I think I’ll play him some more today. He’s more of a dual lane support, right? Do I just push the lane really hard, or max W, play passive, and try to land good stuns? Is there a good Jakiro out there I can watch replays of?
On purgegamers, one of the Recent casts has a team picking jaikiro, he’s a good dual lane support and roamer.
Max out dual breath, one point in ice path and the also max his other skill before icepath.
Bloodseeker needs a radiance to be really effective and can be countered really easy actually.
With just a TP scroll. Any sort of stun, TP and your free. Aside from being a little strong he too just doesn’t bring enough to the table right now with the hard push strats. He’s great in pubs though lol.
