This is pretty hype, but what’s up with the lag the players are getting, and what seems connection problems? Isn’t this on a LAN? They are all just walking in place now.

Game looks absolutely beautiful. The art style is spot on I think. Other than that I dunno wtf is happening as I’ve never played Dota lol… When there were 5 in the “jungle” area they never bothered to gank the one on his own? They just all ran away confused.com. If that was LoL that dude would of got smashed.

Yea the action really died down and this match is dragging on. Even worse with no commentators speaking. In the beginning they were diving and ganking each other, now it seems really defensive and probably gonna last past the hour.

edit: Well, it’s finally done. I need to get some sleep. That freaking match took 93 minutes on the in-game clock. I would have to say, the first 25 minutes were pretty cool with all the action, but it felt like a really slow crawl after that. I hope some teams play more aggressive then that. I know 1 million is on the line but I’m pretty sure Valve wants a interesting showing too.

I love the new designs to most models, particuarly spectre’s feminine look. Every game feels boring observing without any background music, Dota2 alpha is no exception.

So many people on and off SRK talking about this game I gotta try it out hope it’s now like WOW which I played for 2 hours and hated.

Everyone on SRK always talk about this shit but it looks like WOW to me which I played for 3 hours and hated. I’ll give it a try, hope it doesn’t have too long to get into considering my game time is already divided between single player games backlog and daily training for MVC3 and AE.

Is it anything like bloodline champions? I don’t like these kinds of games usually but BC beta was sick.

It’s kinda similar to Bloodline champions but in bloodline champions it’s purely PvP in a small arena, with all abilities being skillshots (basically you aim them and nothing is actually targeted). The general feel is similar but the gameplay is different whereby you farm creep waves in lanes and win by destroying towers to get into their base to destroy the Nexus (well, it’s probably called something else in dota but yeah). So it’s not so focused on pvp like bloodline champions.

I hope that somewhat puts it into perspective. Play HoN or LoL to get an idea what it’s like, they’re both free and MOBA’s. WoW is a completely different genre of game and is nothing like it.

I find that hard to believe since it’s the game lagging and not the stream. Stream itself is absolutely fine, just the game being paused to oblivion.
