That’s pretty much the standard STR build. Armlet also works well with DK as an early game. Your late game items should be based on what your role on the team is, but AC would another good item for DK.
So am I the only one getting an onslaught of absolute scrubs on my team vs. a team of actually decent players?
It’s like I’m not allowed to play as anything other than carries/semi-carries because if I go support my carry has no clue what they’re doing and absolutely fucks us.

Everyone always gets shitty teammates, everyone is always the best on every team, everyone only loses because his opponents have less trash failing around.
Some apparently “decent” team utterly wrecks 4 people but is still incapable of keeping an AM from getting loads of farm and 21(!!) kills vs 1 death?
Where is that decent? That is actually most likely worse than 4 guys that manage to keep attention from their hardcarry so the guy can freefarm to victory.
How the heck are you winning against 5 “decent” players when you have 4 “trashcans” in your team? Are you beyond god? Google Dunning-Kruger and stop bitching.

K/D doesn’t mean much in this game. When playing against a good team, death is just inevitable for certain heroes. I’d much rather have a 0-10 CM with some assists who supports the team properly than a 5-5 CM who doesn’t ward and KS’s the rest of his team.
Most recent example: Veno in the EG vs Mouse Sports match.
If you’re tired of pubs, find some people to play with, simple as that.
How you build DK depends on the enemy team makeup. If you’re up against a lot of magic damage + stuns, you can go Soul Ring, treads, Hood into pipe, BKB then AC. If you’re up against mostly physical, go Soul RIng, treads,Sange, armlet, AC, Halberd. AC is really good on DK, especially at lvl 16. With the splash and attack speed you can keep the entire enemy squad slowed. Soul Ring is a must on him. You got a good amount of regen with a few levels into dragon blood, and you have a shitload of mana issues, especially early on. Also, don’t upgrade your ult at lvl 11 unless you are ancient stacking with a HotD. Your lvl 6 dragon is better. Level your dragon ult at levels 15 and 16. After AC your luxury items should be heart, satanic, or Daedalus. Crit is great on DK, especially if you have AC already.

Somedays you get them all, some days you dont. Ive found that most BRs and russians are just utter failures. Pubstomping isnt even fun really so having a retard on the team helps give a challenge, or if the other team has an allstar.

The one thing I dislike about Dota is how everybody has been conditioned to become immediately defensive. I asked a Bara why he didn’t charge and he started cussing up a storm saying “STFU I KNOW WHAT I’M DOING, IT WAS ON COOL DOWN OKAY”, when all he could have said was that it was on CD. I understand since 90% of the time people are usually all “Uninstall noob.”

Fired this game up since SWTOR was down for maintenance last night. Went 8-4 with Lycan, not bad for not having played for awhile. My team was actually pretty chill, nobody got defensive or ontop of anyone’s case. Seemed odd, but if you instill a good teammate mentality early on (calling MIAs and the such) then it seems like everyone gets along better.
I just got two spare Dota 2 keys. Offered them for trade on Steams website, and people have been offering some ridiculous stuff. Might just give them away here though.
