I just started taking advantage of Iron Talon + offlane Hard camp today. Shit’s godlike. The money rolls in so much easier. I’m now a fan.
Been busy with life so havent had the chance to post in a while. Very surprising no action in this thread given shenanigans that went down at the Shanghai Majors, and the bomb that dropped last night between Team Secret and EG.

If you dont know by now, RTZ and Universe left EG and joined Secret. W33ha and Misery got the boot. Zai plays factor in this move imo. What i dont get is now Secret doesnt have a legit invoker player, that is a significant lost if the meta remains as is, with no patch update.

Holy shit. That will undoubtedly hurt PPD and EG. Universe is the most consistent play on that team, probably tied with Fear. FIlling in both of those skill assets will be hard. So maybe Fear will go back to Carry and maybe they take Misery as their offlane? I don’t know, it’s going to be rough. But also, holy shit. RTZ and EE finally reunited on a team again.

So PPD’s HoN ways finally come out in full. He always did seem like the root of most of EG’s complications. We saw this the first time RTZ left. If Fear and Sumail leave, that’s a wrap for EG. Bulba and Resolution? Sorry, they aren’t exactly at the top of their respective roles. I think them kicking AUI was for the better. He deserved so much better than PPD and EG. Even though I didn’t like RTZ going back to EG and not sticking with Secret after TI, I hope he does well on Secret. But it’s cool that RTZ will go back to mid(probably his best role) and EE can stay on carry. I think they may even interchange if it comes to that.

I think 2.0 was better. S4 outclasses EE in every way imagineable. Same with Kuro. They are both more mechanically and strategically skillful than both EE and PLD. Zai vs Universe is hard only because both are extraordinary players who played their roles really well. But even then, Secret 2.0 was phenomenal. And by virtue, EG HAS to get an invite. The same thing happened to Newbee after they rearranged their team roster. As the defending champions, even if it’s PPD+4, they will get a direct invite.
Dude, I just realized that players have four days left to find a team before they are locked out of BOTH the next upcoming major AND TI this year. Jesus Christ.
Not sure why you’re comparing S4 to EE when they play two different roles on the team. EE has long been respected as one of the best carries in the pro scene, despite the casual fEEd or two sometimes. Would you really put S4 as a hard carry over EE? >_>; Meta has also shifted quite a bit since Secret 3.0.
Anyways, Universe and RTZ leaving EG was completely unexpected by EG’s end. They left without letting anyone know within the organization. PPD said EG was supposed to announce something big soon, but I doubt this was what he had in mind! :V
I immediately thought that they might make EE playing the 2 but not when RTZ is there. S4 versus RTZ mid? That’s actually tough to say. S4 is a really good mid and he has a huge impact in the games he plays but RTZ is RTZ. He’ll outright win mid. If not win, come out even. He almost never loses mid but there are times where his mid/late game impact isn’t felt on the 2 heroes.
But on Paper, I don’t see how Secret 4.0 could compare to Secret 2.0. Crazy amount of individual potential by all those players. Even with the beef between Kuro and RTZ, I think they should have stuck things out.

RTZ will command mid under the new Team Secret team. Mid is where he wants to be, but in EG, Sumail had that position most of the time. Im sure he and EE will probably switch once in a while.
Fear and Sumail is confirmed to stay on EG but had thought of leaving this week.
If a team’s atmosphere is toxic, best not to stick around and let it fester. Kuro and RTZ seem to have squashed their beef (they were hanging out at Shanghai I believe, albeit they were smashed), so they’re probably cool but unlikely to play together. Not uncommon to be cool with someone but the team chemistry isn’t there.
RTZ being mid is definitely where he wants to be. From what he’s said, “1v1 mid is true dota”, more or less. He just likes to be there because mechanically it is what interests him the most.

It looks like AUI will play the carry role. Maybe thats the solution to fixing the cancer, he doesnt talk and just focus on his farming
