I also think Flame Carpet might be safer in general now (which would fit with its nerf).

Check the video at 8:35. It looks to me like Dormammu recovers a LOT faster from Stalking Flare.
Guess flight mode will be a big part of dorms game in UMvC3.
It seems if the opponent lands in between dorm and a flame carpet they are not knocked away. I don’t know if it was like this before evo and im not an expert on dorm but hopefully this is somewhat useful.
That’s a very interesting change! So, against opponents jumping in on Dormammu that get hit by Flame Carpet, it looks like we’ll have a much easier time comboing.

A crazy thought:
A lot of characters are able to cancel out of command normals that they weren’t before (Tron can cancel out of her Bandit Boulder and Gustaff Fire into launcher) - we should check to make sure Dormammu can’t cancel out of Flame Carpet into anything.
Hmm, are you sure on no aerial Purification? It would be a shame if they removed it already.
I’m a bit skeptical about this because Wesker was hit by Doom’s assist just before he landed on the flame carpet. Could’ve messed up the effect or something.
Flame Carpet looks faster than 15 frames startup now to me.

I tried OTG flame carpet at fight club and it didn’t knock them away it actually was better than vanilla flame carpet. It just made them bounce on top like the video up there dictates. I guess they changed it.
In this video it shows Dromammu charging up his dark spells in the air.

So, air purification was a myth. Flame carpet nerfs have been removed, and it looks like it’s actually been buffed, casting spells in the air is amazing, attacking while air dash back is amazing.
Does his teleport front/back look further away to anyone else? Looks like he teleports a lot further away from his opponent. This could be a little worse for rushdown (although teleport above + dash down-back S is probably godlike), but definitely better for zoning IMO.
