Realized today I’ve never played a character that had to do Flight in combos to maximize their effectiveness.

I’m ass at doing Dorm’s new Flight combos. I gotta practice haha

850K. Really easy too!

Also dunno if this worked in the old game but you can otg with 2D1C into Stalking Flare now.

Also cr.L st.H Dark Matter probably works mid screen too, just have to teleport with it. That’ll take a little practice to see what works.

Combo 1, without XF3, damage is approx 1,110K. If you do OTG Purification > CF after Liberation instead of DD, damage is approx 770K.

Combo 2 can only be done with XF3. XF1 and 2 are too slow. If you don’t have any charges and finish with OTG Purification > CF, damage is approx 1400K. Finishing with OTG 3D0C Liberation > Dark Hole > CF is approx 1600K, so it’s a guaranteed kill no matter what ending variation is used.

Working on some possible forced cross-up situations with air Liberations, hopefully some good stuff will come up.

I’ll be at a tournament with a stream this weekend so I’ll see if they’ll let me use the recording equipment to get it on video for you guys.

Dorm is weaker in my opinion flame carpet nerf hurt him especally against character like spencer, wesker, akuma basically any character that hit upward or jump in but he is much more creative.

with my playstyle I also feel like I’m getting more bashed around with dorm. the flame carpet nerf hurts majorly. I just realized how ridiculously long the recovery of that move is. unuseable if not fullscreen away or opponent in any sort of knockdown. he has better zoning but less defense now. I’d trade dark matter for old carpet any day. his 3 ground chain is nice tho.

Yeah I’m not a great player by any means but I also am getting ROLLED by all the other mediocre players like me. Dorm used to be my best character and now he’s my worse, I guess I should be figuring out how to do real combos now and what to do against Spencer/Cap/others instead of relying on the crutches that were OG flame carpet and cr. M :confused:

Dormammus rush down/aggressive gameplay got super better, but I guess players who like to play just a keep away game ala stay tide down to Mvc3 flame carpet got hurt by the carpet nerf. I was more of a Dark spell rush down Dormammu player in MvC3, I never really relayed on the flame carpet much, side from counter hit setups and unblockables which are still in UmvC3.
