my 360 version is effected by the quality of the connection.
All TEs except the S models have glitched out PCBs. I’ve encountered it once with my HP button on a 360 model and thankfully, just replugging the stick resolved the issue. All the more reason to go with Hori.
Are you guys sure it isn’t the button itself? I have the madkatz SE and the jab button has finally quit working completely. I seem to occasionally have issues with the other buttons, but it was jab the most and now its done. It was similar behavior, sometimes it worked fine and then sometimes it didn’t. It steadily got worse.
I dunno bout other horis, but i had a particularly bad experience with the hori fs3.
Its official the world is up upside down…We got SFIV & faulty Madcatz on top haha
Remember back in the day Madcatz products would burn down houses, still blows my mind that an arcade stick specifically built for fighting games has turbo panel on it…They also call it the Tournament Edition
my first experience with mad catz was when I was younger and playing on one of the older 16 bit consuls. I forget which. after 10 mins of playing on that controller I said to myself. “when i grow up, with want to master the arts of ninjitsu, so that i can hunt down and kill everyone involved in making this product, and tricking innocent people into buying this poop.” I really hated mad catz for a very long time. then after I saw the TE stick I thought they had changed their ways. but now i see i must fulfill the vow i made some ump teen years ago.
What’s the next best move up from a TE? I still have to be able to use my ls32 though :p.
The TE is quite mod-able, you can just change buttons and stick for Seimitsu ones. And change the board, if you feel like.
the smart thing to do was to never buy that TE stick to begin with. Buy the hori stick, keep the chip, change out the buttons.
