The Latest Update

[details=Spoiler]Sega’s next update for Phantasy Star Online 2 is titled “The Destroyer of History,” and they’ve announced what new content it will bring to the game.

A new area is being added to Phantasy Star Online 2 through the new update. These are ruins discovered on the planet Naberius, which was initially thought to be devoid of civilization. Your character will need to be level 25 or higher for the ruins.

New enemies will be added to the game as well. These include the Crabaada, Cycloneda, and the Kyuclonada. Take a look at them below:

There’s also a new boss character called the Zeshreida:

Also new is an item called the ExCube. Even if you hit the level cap in Phantasy Star Online 2, you can still gain experience. Once you’ve gained enough experience to level up, instead of gaining a level, you’ll get ExCubes. You can exchange ExCubes for in-game items. The screenshot below shows a 3x Rare Drop boost and other items being purchased for 10 ExCubes:

Finally, there’s a Photon Drop Exchange shop. Here, you can exchange 10 Photon Drops for a Photon Crystal. 10 Photon Crystals get you a Photon Sphere. Photon Spheres can then be exchanged for Mag devices and other items.

Halloween Content Update

[details=Spoiler]The next update for Phantasy Star Online 2 will add Halloween-themed content and a Very Hard difficulty, with the Floating Continent, Mines, and Tundra areas featuring rare bosses. The video below summarizes the new content, and below that, you can read up on the specifics:

Ship 10 might be your best bet if you don’t like using the less populated blocks on Ship 2.

Soooo I download the game get it fully patched and pick my ship then try to login with my id and pw and it wont accept it to login. I didn’t forget it so wth. Is there anyway to reset the pw or something I’m missing?

Did your password have caps in it by any chance?

Regardless of what you originally entered as your password, it has to be ALL LOWER CASE when you enter it in the login screen. Let me know if this helps, since a lot of people seem to get tripped by this.

Also if you make your character on ship 2 then hit me up maybe.

Lol my password did have a cap in it… thats hilarious… but now when I try to launch the game i get an pso.exe (lots of japanese text) error and it wont launch.

Yeah, name and password must be lower case when entering.

Try running it via the launcher with Run Administrator on. Otherwise you can try reinstalling if nothing else works.

Also unrelated: DISREGARD that post I had earlier about them region locking. It was a bug that effected everyone during maintenance, including Japanese players. LAST time I ever trust PsoWorld.

Now the game wont let me uninstall it so I can start again wth!

Did you use the uninstall file inside the games folder? Or the regular windows install?

I clicked a bunch of files in the games folder and one of them talks about errors so I checked the task manager and killed the running process and then the program launched.

I get to the login and it still wont let me login with my password… lowercase or otherwise

I created a new sega id and new pw and it still wont let me login.

I do have a question… the instructions that I have seen say I have to read the licensing agreement and accept it… its supposed to be after i authorize my computer to work on pso but I havent seen it… could that be what is stopping me?
