Yo ggs Kara Fail. I was lagging pretty bad against the other dude, but once I connected the PS3 straight to the router the lag was (almost) gone. The ganes againt you though were a lot better through, except for that first one where my damn PS3 froze.

Either way, good games, everyone. Karafail, I don’t know what it is, but fighting your Makoto always seems to be the fight I look forward to every Friday. Maybe it’s because of that Ibuki/Makoto factor – I really don’t know. It’s a love/hate match-up for me. =P

GGs Sanchez. Thanks for pointing out some of my faults. Feels like I’ve hit a wall with Makoto cause almost everything I do that works on other people never seem to work on you. So I’m guessing most of the stuff I do won’t work on higher lvl plays. Guess I’ll have to hit the videos and guides again.

You got the trick of Mak down. The only things is you’re kinda rigid. Certain things need to happen for you to pop off. I’ll be more specific when I’m not half asleep.

The Makoto match up is 6-4 by default because of her supers, but honestly, I never necessarily feel overwhelmed, just peeved that I can never maintain my momentum since Makoto beats out my air-to-air and ground game.
Ibuki gets her wins from the meta game, yomi, and knowing character specific hit-boxes, so unless I really study Makoto hardcore (which I don’t, but should), I’ll continue to have problems with your neutral jumps and tic-throw setups when really I can read them – I just don’t have a consistent punish for them. I had it down earlier that night, but I slowed down and fell into old habits. =P
Funny thing is, my best BnB punisher (forward xx qcb kk) actually whiffs on Makoto on the third kick of ex tsumuji. I didn’t know that until I did it on you waaaaay back, so now I have to adjust tsumuji to hit low every time, which you can TECHNICALLY block even when you’re being hit like that. No, it’s not fair, but Ibuki has wonky stuff like this against everyone she fights. Her BnB TC whiffs on 12, Yang, and Yun (I think), forcing me to rely too much on ex and raida which always reset momentum. Her close roundhouse will push back every character except for Chun-Li, who lets me link that into c.short in a 3 frame window for mix-up…even though it’s useless unless I tic-hit with her srk into SA1 in the corner to capitalize (not a combo – she’s hitting with her srk on the very last frames, which looks delayed as a mix-up). Hugo has an infallible anti-air if Ibuki does BnB TC xx SJC, and command dash, of course, puts me at risk of taking 50% MORE damage, which is instant death if I get super’d. Compared to 2i, she’s severely neutered, which is partly why you don’t see many GOOD 3s Ibuki’s because her learning curve is stupid-friggin’-high. ><
