CVS2 is a great game but I wish there were more people here who shared your enthusiasm. It is one of the best fighting games ever made.
But you should play 3S. You’ll get more out of 3S here at my place then CVS2.
Btw how many alternate costumes does each character have in SSF4? So there is one from Vanilla and two from Super? Is that correct?
I already have the vanilla alt costumes. Since the complete set is out and since I’m only running one SSF4 set up these days, I’m thinking about purchasing them. Not sure yet though?
Unfortunately if you did go after the costume pack, you’d only be able to get it for the 360, since the PSN is basically shut down for an undetermined amount of time.
Regarding CVS2, I really, really did enjoy it, but, my time in that game fell before roll cancelling was learned of and when I figured it out, I was roll cancelling taunts to piss people off. I’d play that game for two reasons: Vice and Terry fucking Bogard. No one understands why. Can’t explain it.
No I don’t think I’ll buy the alt costumes right now:( I gotta buy both sets and don’t feel like spending $40 on costumes right especially after I just bought MK9. I’ll wait after AE comes out.
I could honestly say that for me MK9 is a way much more fun game then MVC3. It’s just more fun to play.
Btw what do you need the money for in MK9? And can this game be installed in the PS3?
Well see thats the thing, I have been practicing it lol. CvS2 AND Third Strike are both at my school. I can play fairly well in Third Strike, I main Hugo. Other mains are: Remy, Q, Chun, and Yun. I kinda want to drop Chun so I can concentrate on Yun, but the sticks at my school are a bit strange. Not as tight as P360s.
Remy’s actually really good. I use to main him back in the day.
So MK9 rocks. I’ve been a little addicted to it. What started out on just trying to get all the characters, fatalities, and costumes is now a little obsession (I now have the characters, alternate fatalities, and alternate costumes). My muscle memory from playing old school MK is still intact and works quite well in MK9. It’s funny because I know how to use a lot of characters already since they’re actually quite similar to old school MK. It’s weird but this game is fun. I mean when I first popped it in I was surprised that it didn’t suck. So for the past three days I’ve been playing MK for a lot of hours. This is hilarious because I probably only spend probably under a half an hour total on my two copies of MVC3 lol.
I see MK9 being big. It’s probably one of the few games that America doesn’t have to worry about Japan competition wise lol. This means that the possibilities for this game are endless in the states. When you see how the Japanese play SSF4 AE, it’s kinda hopeless because you already know that they’re light years away from everyone else. With MK9, you don’t have to worry about a guy like Daigo schooling everyone.
For me personally it’s refreshing to play a fighting game that was created in America. When you play like every fighting game, there is that Japanese feel to it. Even in Marvel which uses American comic book characters. But when you play Mortal Kombat it kinda seems original. Yes it’s cheesy but there’s a charm to it that I can’t describe. Who knows maybe it’s just nostalgia.
I bet you they sprinkled ecstasy dust over every copy so that you could get addicted to it and mistake that tingling sensation for nostalgia. Nah I’m jk but it’s the best I could come up with this early in the morning.
Lol probably because I’m freaking loving this game.
So we shall have a gathering tomorrow. Everyone and anyone is invited. I’ll be going around to collect the $5 E fee. Anyone new please PM me here or text me at 310 344 9367. Text is better.
As a reminder, I’ll be running a MvC3 tourney @ Don’s tomorrow (not Sat) night @ 11pm. Fee is $2, and the point is to help people play in a tournament/pressured environment.
I look forward to seeing how what new things people have tomorrow for MvC3!
