We got MK9. Pretty cool.
Actually, gonna have to bow out of coming out. Gonna try to use tonight and tomorrow night to try and fix my sleeping schedule for school in a day. God damn spring break!

Well today was a fun Saturday night. We had eighteen people. Thanks ALAX, NYN, Strider86, Judotrip, Caesar, Rudy, Jose, Grant, Symbolic, Moses, Kazu, Neil, Sugafree, Giovanni, Incontrol, resres, kainzero, and Rex. Thanks everyone for joining us and making it an event.
So even though MK9 is a cheesy game like all the other MK’s, it’s actually fun and has a lot of technique in it. I got a copy of MK9 and it will be here for people to play. I like how the SFIV setup and the MK9 setup are right next to each other. It’s so old school.
Well next week I may do a double. Friday night and Saturday night. I’ll keep you posted.

Hey are any of you going to Evo this year?
I bought the PS3 version. MK9 is cool. I’ll have one setup SSF4 and one MK9 since SSF4 is slow these days. Of course two MVC3 setup as always.
I probably won’t. Just watch the stream. But a lot of ppl who play here go to Evo.

I hope to be back soon and hopefully with some more friends. I’m looking forward to playing more awesome guys at Mortal Kombat soon. The game is legit! BTW, I was the guy rockin’ Ermac in MK & getting owned in MvC3 as X-23, Tron, & the puppy.
Can’t do it Saturday, but for Friday:
Barring any sudden emerganicies, I’ll be running another MvC3 tourney @ Don’s @ 11p. Same thing applies:
- $2 entry Fee (its cheap, so please enter, to help out the people training for tournaments). Feel free to contribute extra into the pot. Please bring the exact amount so I don’t stress over giving change.
- Payout is 3rd takes $3, 2nd takes $5, and 1st takes rest, assuming we manage to get at least 10 people. If there is more I’ll modify it again in favor for 2nd and 3rd.
- The point is to simulate the tournament experience, so just play as well as you can. Treat this as training with an added bonus for doing well.
- If there is less than 10 people we’ll run a round robin. If there is 10 or more, double elimination.
If we have double elim:
- FT2 wins per set.
- Winner’s, Losers, and Grand Finals is FT3.
- Person coming from Losers Finals will need to win two sets.
If we have Round Robin:
- Dependent on size of tournament. I’ll still need to figure out something.
Basic MvC3 tourney rules apply:
- Any stage selectable unless requested.
- Loser of a match can select a new team + assist setup, winner remains the same.
- Both players CAN switch up their team setup via holding the partner button down in the VS/Results screen.

Ya MK9 has that old school charm. Even though the graphics and gameplay isn’t as good as the other top fighting games, it still is fun. But that’s how MK always was. Even though it wasn’t the best made game it always drew in the players.
So I hope more MK9 players join us because I would like MK to be played at a high level at my place. So far Judotrip’s Kung Lao is one of the craziest things I’ve seen.

How many fucking chapters are there in MK9’s story mode?
27 I think. The story mode is pretty boss, but, like I read somewhere, I’m not buying a story for it’s GAME.
… That, and I’m innately bias towards MK.
OMG that story mode was freaking long. I never played a game so long in a long time.
Well now I unlocked Cyber Subzero and Quan Chi.
That took forever lol.
I’ll be there for the tourney. Hopefully a good turnout. Mk9 is such a bad game no doubt about it. Why people like it makes me really wonder why there is such a following with it.

I’m actually feelin MK9. But then again I know how to play Mortal Kombat. I actually rather play MK9 then MVC3. But then again I never really played Marvel.
But I will say that MK9 is pretty fun:)
The story is good for a fighting game. A little cheesy and rips off Star Wars and 300 but over all it’s cool.
Might try to main Kitana. I use to use her a lot in MK2.
Third Strike is the best fighting game ever.
