Last night was great. It was like going back in time. It was classic night with everyone getting on 3S, MVC2, ST, A3, and CVS2. Awesome. Of course we still had our MVC3 and SSF4. But all in all it was one of the great nights.
We had about twenty two people attend. Thank you Grant, Julius, NYN, Jose, Rudy, Dwayne, Sugafree, ALAX, Symbolic, Lee, Saul, LBC, Love Pig, Shane, Dander, Jtrgmr, Naked Snake, Galzpanic, Tomahawk Tom, Nick, Resres and Secret Character.

More good news is that I got another big blue Capcom American cabinet. It came with a Japanese MVC1. But I’m going to convert it to a Street Fighter Alpha 2 machine. Well it’s been converted already. Even though I like Alpha 3 the best, I’ve been playing Alpha 2 right now and it’s fun and looks really cool. I love the stages.

The Urien video is dope but why is only six minutes? Aren’t Kuroda videos suppose to be at least one to two hours?

Those 6 minutes were like 3 hours of actual playtime to me. Kuroda is scary in the know but he’s also one those flow players so it’s not too hard to follow. What’s a flow-rider? I heard someone say it but wasn’t sure what it meant.
Was probably me, but I didn’t say “flow-rider” exactly. Just basically referring to someone who follows a text book model in a character match up where if your opponent does A you do X because it’s a safe counter, or he does B so you do Y because it’s guaranteed on your end, and so on. I think we were talking 'bout that outside, and I used that as to why 3S was such a good game cause parrying broke that mold and meant more on adapting on a player-by-player basis, rather than character-by-character. Not saying it’s 100% that of course, but, I think that should get the point across at 1AM off of 4 hours of sleep.
I think I heard it inside. I remember you mentioning flow charts.
When someone does A you should consider doing X the first time, but change it to either b-z for the next few counters. Safe counters are what keep you down, imo. Everyone knows them, so everyone knows you’re going to use them. Better think of something new. Of course, you could just wait all day and continue doing what you were doing before, but then you wouldn’t be learning much.
I wanted to ask what flow rider meant when I first heard it but shit was loud and I was high so I didn’t wanna BE TALKING THIS LOUD WHEN I ONLY NEEDED TO SPEAK this loud.
Ok I’m gonna eat my words here: Alpha 2 is so addicting. Ever since I put it in my new cab I’m been playing it the whole weekend almost all day and night. I don’t know if it’s the game or it’s because the game looks so good. I mean the artwork is amazing. Almost everyone has a cool stage. Even Dan’s stage with Fei Long in the background. Even though I like Alpha 3 the best, Alpha 2 is a classic. I told my brother that Alpha 2 is so addicting. He said it’s because we played it so much as kids. Like a lot lot.
Oh man decisions, decisions. I don’t have enough cabs. I only now have one 3S (Japanese) cabinet hooked up at my place. I mean I still have the other two 3S boards in my house but I took them out so I could have both Alphas in. I need to put my other two 3S’s in so at least they power up once a week. But I have to take two games out so I could put it in the cabinet. Should I take out Vampire and Alpha 3? I need more cabinets so I could house all these games lol.
What does anybody out there think about Dungeons and Dragons and Alien Vs Predator?

I would play the D&D game if it were up when I showed up. Always wanted to play that game. Alpha looks too scary for me.
Definetly Shadow of Mystara. It is the sequel. It has more characters and more branching paths. Tower of Doom didnt let players pick duplicates in multiplayer either, Mystara lets two players pick the same class they want.
