Thank you to all for joining me on this rainy night. It was also good to see some old faces returning after a long absence. What a happy surprise. A lot of people called out and couldn’t make it because of the rain and because of other engagements but we did have eleven people and it was lively as ever. People really dig MVC3. But also there was a good balance because a lot of people were playing Chocolate as well. I had a lot of fun last night. And thank you Joe again for the pizza. It was delicious. I hope everyone else liked it.

So hopefully the weather clears next week and more people can make it. But even though we had a few, it was really fun.

after playing mvc3 some more and watching some videos…
… it’s actually a pretty good game. i can’t say it’s a dumbed down mvc2. it’s more like… guilty gear + assists and with a lot less systems to worry about.
i think that mvc2 definitely plays faster as of now, but mvc3 still has the potential for kills to happen at a moment’s notice.
i still hate x-factor though.
also, watching jwong play the game, it feels like he’s on a completely different level than everyone else. so there’s definitely a lot of stuff to learn. everyone is all trying to be serious and pick perceived top tier already and justin just comes with his goofy looking team and kills everyone without breaking a sweat. and you know he has more tricks up his sleeve too. you get the feeling that he’s just messing with you.
wanted to show up last friday but i got a headache at work, so i stayed home. should be able to make it this friday barring any last minute stress.
i hate Sent in MVC3…soooooooo broken.
also i shall be there along with Dander and maybe lovepig this friday!!

Yeah, tell me about it. I know how I got it, and I was doing so well avoiding it over the past weekend. It’s just when you have one inconsiderate retard of a friend coughing a storm in your car for about 15 minutes while you drive him home and he doesn’t bother to cover his mouth of cough outside the window.
Or when he coughs a juicy storm into his fist and then gives you the bro fist hand slap welcoming WITH the same hand, without cleaning it.

Hey Al. Ya I was sad when you told me a month ago that you were leaving and now that month is here. I’ll miss you. You’re like family to me. We had a long history dating back since Alladin’s Castle and then the Hermosa arcade when Alpha 3 came out. You’re one of the forefathers of our scene and without helping it out, it wouldn’t be like how it is today.
So good luck to you man. Feel free to stop by if you come back to So Cal and feel free to post up here on this thread for any updates on your life. Post up here about anything about the Oregon scene and later the Australian scene. I want to know how the community is outside of So Cal. We’re so spoiled here.
