Maybe because Anny is CPS-2 and HF is CPS-1 so cramming CPS-1 in a CPS-2 system glitches I don’t know. Also the 1-2-3 Turbo speed is not the same as HF. ST 1-2 is not the same as HF single speed.
HF Ryu is powerful though in Anny. Well you can’t have everything lol.
I might be able to delete the WW and CE in Anny but it will be a long process because I gotta find ppl in the tech community to do it. Maybe.
Holy triple post. Might want to delete 2 of those repeats.
HF Blanka doesn’t feel the same in Anny. You can compare them back-to-back if you wish, but HF Blanka’s hit boxes are weird in Anny.
And yes, the game is full of odd glitches and bugs alongside balance issues. ST is already a mess of CPS1+CPS2+revisions all duct-taped together and glued with basic coding. Anny just takes that glitchiness to a whole other level. Anny is extremely fun, but competitively a mess.
HF Ryu is powerful in any version. I actually prefer CE Ryu do to his better-looking color, and slightly better fireball, but meh.
The air hurricane kick is nice, but not really needed. Then again, with my style of Ryu, I don’t really utilize much juice kicks unless it’s to get close to your opponent, especially Dhalsim.
Don’t quote me on this, but I feel like CE Ryu’s fireball game is faster. Start-up, recovery, I don’t know what it is, but CE Ryu’s fireball just seems more effective. Almost like CE Sagat’s fireball game. And I love me my fireballs.
Hope to see you all at Final Round 2013. The Main event so far is VDO Vs Rappleross and that will be HYPE. Whoever gets salty can run it back at Evo 2k13, See you there!

Godden was pretty impressed by my Ibuki surprisingly enough. He and I played a few matches after the tournament was over. I swear, I’ve never played against anyone who hit confirms off of every single normal like he does. Juan is pretty good, too. Standing 720’s all day, especially after he baits you. I really want a ft10 with Joe Dubbs though. I feel like I could have beat him considering how many high level kens I’ve played against.
MM FT10 against Joe Dubbs. Make it happen. Hell, tell Mando at the next 3s tournament, and I’m sure he’ll put you guys on stream.
Juan’s pretty good. I feel like he doesn’t really capitalize off his damage though. I never see the guy hit confirm into a single combo. It’s all pokes, and UOH 720s, or dash 720s. lol
That’s the Aquasilk strategy, lol. U2 and spd all day, everyday, forever. When I played him, the only problem I had to worry about was the option select parry into super, since everyone else was getting hit by it all night. Otherwise, I just baited the throw and played hopscotch with Ibuki the whole time. That’s why I feel like aside from Godden and Sanchez, I could have taken this tourney with the little Asian girl. Chun is hard, and Sanchez has seen my tech before, which is the biggest reason why I made the switch to Yang in losers semis. Against Godden, I had a pocket Ken I’ve been working on, but after playing Godden in casuals, I know for a fact my hit confirms aren’t as good as his.
I’ll ask Mando for that ft10 with Dubbs. His Ken is a lot more scary to me than his Yun, honestly.

I like how Mr. 12 plays 3S like he’s on a mission:)
I just read the cover page story on Ono wanting to once again update 2012. I will tell you that without enthusiasm I’m all for it.
Arcades are dead. I see reality and I’m not in denial. If Ono wants to update SF4 every year then that will destroy any purpose left of buying an SF4 arcade cabinet since if SF4 did update every year owning an SF4 arcade board would be the worst investment ever since the game would be obsolete after a year before you would even get your return.
But after going to Wednesday Night Fight this past week, SF4 the game is still going strong. I was surprised how many people still play that game. A new update would just breath more new life into the game and renew the buzz. Since consoles are the standards and updates are the norm, updating SF4 every year until SF5 comes out is just a good move. It will keep the SF community constantly occupied and Capcom could take their sweet ass time developing SF5. And the constant updates will finally bring SF out of the arcade board format and into the present. Sad but that’s the way it is.
To be honest with you this age of updates and patches is perfect for the eternal Capcom fighting game business model of constantly updating. Instead of coming out with arcade hardware each time for updates, the software updates makes it much easier and profitable for what Capcom always wanted to do. So now Capcom is built for the future and now we finally can leave the ancient world of the arcade behind us.
Also the yearly update of SF4 would help the tournament scene a lot. It would keep tournament players constantly on their toes and shakeup the tournament player hierarchy. The yearly update would bring in new players as well since every year, it would be a reset and you would have to start all over.
Another reason why updates are good for SF is because SF has always been about balance. Thats why ST is deeply appreciated. Even though perfect balance in an SF game can never be achieved, Capcom’s ability to attempt perfect balance in each update is something that goes along with the SF tradition. With each update the goal is to make every single character have a solid chance of winning a tournament.
IMO it takes at least five updates for an SF game to be well balanced. That evidence is in ST. SF4 had four updates. One more update would be really interesting. If 3S had five updates instead of three, I don’t even want to imagine how greatly balanced that game would be because it would make me sad it didn’t exist. The Alpha Series actually has officially five arcade updates as well if you count Alpha 2 Gold and Alpha 3 Upper. I personally think the community never gave Alpha 3 Upper a good shot (Its too late now). The main complaint about Alpha 3 is that the V-Ism is broken. In Upper they totally nerfed V-Ism. No one gave Upper a good shot though because they moved on. One problem in distributing Upper in arcades was that it was Japan exclusive and it was on the Naomi GD-Rom and not the CPS-2. Naomi GD Rom is an expensive system with a complicated setup that require two power supplies. That’s a big problem for distributing.
