Donkey kick.. then what?

after u do the ex- donkey kick, your oppoent will rebound of the wall and fly towards u. What is the optimal and the best option to punish your opponent?

in terms of raw damage, your best bet is roundhouse Tatsumaki.

if you wanna put in some mind games, just reset them with a s. fierce or whatever else then move in close.

Best option would be FP reset, to cause damage and send them back into the corner for mixups. Or you might try FP reset > JP Hadoken to make sure they have something to keep them busy in the corner for a second in case they were planning for a reversal. That’s just theoretical though.

close s.f,ex donkey kick,hadouken > shinku hadouken. use shinku hadouken special, need 1 full meter and about a quarter 2nd meter.

ex donkey,ex donkey then a tasumaki

the last part is hard cuz u only have like 1 or 2 frames to get it off but it does pretty decent dmg

jump in fierce punch, standing fierce, EX donkey, dash under, jab as opponent falls (reset), SA1. From there get creative. This needs to be done twords the corner so you dash under. Not too hard…

aahh… how is it possible to do that with SA2?

not possible with Shinshoryuken. you only get 1 bar, so if you use an EX, you don’t have a super. and don’t tell us that the jab will make up for that EX you just used, :lol:.

EX Joudan -> s. jab (reset) -> Shinkuu is so not worth it. just do the super. the s. jab doesn’t make Ryu deal more damage. then you have the fact that your opponent now has a chance to parry out of the super. so you’ll hit him as he’s parrying, yeah? :lol:. you gonna waste an EX + a super just so you can do that? so not worth it.

EX Joudan> Roundhouse tasumaki if not in corner. Best damage, and your always on top of opponent when combo is over.

If have opponent in corner, EX Joudan>EX hurricane>Fierce Shoryuken. Must be executed pretty fast. Damage is def. worth the meter usage.

In the corner I like to ???>EX Joudan>Clockwise 450(from down)+KK. I just think it looks cool.

Does anyone use 450+KK? I was thinking it would be awesome against larger characters, but seems pointless mainly.

One of my friends told me about EX Joudan, nail them with EX Shoryuken, and then SA1 for something around 60% damage.

Problem is, I can’t see how it works. ANother friend and I tried for 30 mins. in training. If the EX shoryu hits you just don’t have enough time to launch the Shinkuu Hadouken. Still, EX Joudan and EX Shoryu does respectable damage.

Any tips for attacks to lead into a Joudan? I have a bitch of a time figuring out how to combo into the EX Joudan…

EX Joudan -> EX Shoryuken xx Shinkuu Hadouken isn’t possible. if say, your friend said that it wasn’t a super cancel, but rather, a juggle, that’s even more farfetched.

you can combo into EX Joudan using close s. forward, close s. strong, close s. fierce or c. fierce. i’d say the easiest to use is s. fierce.

st.Fierce is deffinitely easiest. You can hold back and press Fierce then follow through if it hits.

As for that combo, why wouldn’t it work? Sure it would be dumb to waste meter on an EX-SRK, but you could do jab or strong SRK xx SA1 right? As long as you stall the SRK seems like it would work.

The reason it doesn’t hit, that we saw, is that your opponent hits the ground the same time you do with an EX shoryu, and a strong/fierce Shoryu has the same problem. EX Joudan, Jab Shoryu, Shinkuu might be possible, but the timing is super difficult.

EX Joudan -> any Shoryuken xx Shinkuu will most likely (i still think it really doesn’t 'cuz i’ve tried it) not work because Shoryuken will knock the opponent too high thereby causing Shinkuu to hit maybe once (?) or not at all (which is from my experience).

as for your opponent hitting the ground at the same time, they really will because Ryu cannot recover from his Shoryuken (any version) quick enough to juggle with Shinkuu or any other super. he isn’t Ken :lol:. maybe if you hit your opponent at the very top of Ryu’s fist you’ll have some time, but that’s probably not possible too.

nope.

s. roundhouse resets your opponent so there really isn’t any move you can do to hit them.

If i’m not mistaken. Isn’t the Donkey Kick the move where Ryu does a launching foward kick? You know, 41236 + k? If you do the Ex version I noticed you can juggle with a fireball, ex firball, another donkey kick, a SA1, or SA2. I don’t know about SA3. A nomarl one resets.
