The more I think about it. The more it feels like these combos alone (starting with a naked web throw) are gonna push Spidey up a tier… With the right assist and against everyone except a teleporter, there’s no reason Spidey ever has to put himself at risk… He can run away all day throwing web balls, web zips and web throws when all it takes is ONE webthrow, which can connect from anywhere on the screen, to kill a character.

The combo even works fine of a full screen light web ball> webthrow. That’s pretty godlike.

Aight Airborne and for the record so I can let whoever else know I use Nemesis, Spidey, Ghost Rider in that order.

damn I just realized that the Heavy after lmmhs is crouching H and not standing H. I was trying forever to do that combo yesterday but I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working for me.

Desklamp, someone suggested I start making combo tutorials so more people can deal out better damage. It’s nice that people see them but some people are visual learners, some audible, and some just pick up on it and go. I’m considering it but I have a list of vids that people want to see while at the same time still trying to put in team work for Storm and Iron Man so I can compete at FR if I go, and of course all my real life stuff going on.

I’d like to throw my two cents on this topic about Spider-man’s viability, but wouldn’t this be better to take to the Match-Up thread or Strategy thread? I’d everything to be organized. XD I’ll go ahead and move this onto one of the threads if it’s cool with y’all.

741,700 damage, tested on Spencer can be done midscreen, no assist

If I do an :h: spider sting/bite and follow with

I get 920,100.

with two bars and Storm as my second I get a hard knockdown after the THC using another :l: spider sting/bite for 963,300. Also forgot to mention the combo itself builds one meter and there is a possibility that I will be able to

call Iron Man ‘swing zip’ j:s: :m: web throw air dash web zip for the reset opp but I’ll test that when I get home from work I was on my lunch break

Iron man will hit after that final :l: spider sting/bite allowing for an extra :m: web throw. After the :m: web throw the damage read 1,067,900 total damage. To boot you if the combo itself doesn’t kill the opponent, it does one of two things. One it throws them away from you if you’re into the far screen game but allows them a chance to escape. Secondly it sets you up for a web zip flip into a throw reset. The drawbacks to this combo though is you must only have two meters for it since three meters will make the third member come out, which really isn’t that bad :lol: You have to have a partner who’s hyper will OTG but also allow Spidey to get the last hit for the wall bounce. Other than that the take away from all this is Spidey has a 740K combo that builds one meter with possible reset options :lol:

861,100K, one meter, uses both Storm whirlwind and Iron Man repulsor blast started midscreen again tested on Spencer. All web throws baby :lol:

Again like the other one you could actually dash up after the last web throw and THC so long as you have an OTG super backing you. Didn’t check meter build or two meter THC possibilities but I’d assume it’s the same except the reset opp comes right after the second :l: spider sting.

I never like the idea of web throw that early in the combo but right now i hit 740k with 1 assist, one meter so that’s not good enough =/

So yeah guess I need to try this stuff out.

I can’t do anything with this just yet that I know of but web ball puts the opponent in a normal jump state when it connects. So hitting :s: after a web ball does not cause fly screen and just turns it into a j:s: as opposed to a sj:s: making it cancelable into :h: web swing, in the corner anyhow. I’m trying to see if I can find a way to walk the opponent down to the ground to get a spider sting/bite web throw going or at least a relaunch into IM assist setup. Right now i can say it’s very impractical unless it could be used to convert random damage into something better.

Phantasy I totally feel you man but you and Airborne of all people should know by now that I more so come from a solo character standpoint as far as combos are concerned. What’s the point of having combos based solely around the assist have if you can’t use the character in the situations those assist aren’t available? Plus I’m sure you can work your assist around to get more damage somewhere. I’m just now starting to use these as well though but they also work on crouching characters so I’m not seeing much of a downfall in using them.

my gripe with webthrow is more of a positioning issue.

Tweaked this combo a little to get a little more damage, but changed the first few inputs because j:s: s:m: s:h: seems a little hard to confirm vs ducking chars.

827k+ (and more damage with the j:s: s:m: s:h: starter, 841k)

With Wesker OTG,you can get 2 more :l: webthrows before doing the TK MS. I can’t remember the damage though, and I haven’t tried with Hawkeye poison, but I guess it will work the same.

With Hawkeye Poison + 2 :l: webthrowsTK MS = 914.7K + extra poison

Would probably work with Iron Man to break 1M because of double webthrows

Positioning isn’t that bad. I mean you have two sets of combos that can be performed off of web throw so if you’re midscreen bam do this or if you’re in the corner cool do that. Either way you have options for over 700K. Please believe I’m still looking for more.

Hmm didn’t think hit stun decay would allow for another launch into web throw. Good stuff.

Well, the reason I like the combo is because it ends in the corner after the last magic series. The last:s: before :h:webthrow is done while the missiles are hitting to avoid the launch. Too bad webthrow combos, don’t work with happy birthdays.

I like your combos but find them difficult to do consistently because I can’t seem to get the timing of webzip cancels and dash unders consistently. Haha.
