Also, I call it a face-roll just because you can control a dumb amount of space for not that much work, and scaling isn’t truly a factor if you have the resources to make it so.

*That combo’s not a real reason, it just makes me salty to see that they fixed one character ignoring hitstun deterioration (his brother, ffs) and then they turn the other cheek on that bastard.

Hehe I’ve had this discussion a million times, but at least you’re being nice about it unlike the zero players. I have a 6 face button pad with only 1 trigger per side. If I move A1 to the face, I can’t press it together with a normal. Not tryin to play the violin, I’ve come to terms with a world without busters or round trips :slight_smile:

yeah i don’t know how you’d go about doing it with an actual pad, although i rarely press assists the same time as i press other buttons unless it’s H and Assist 2, or i have to move my hand for H and Assist 1. /on stick tho

Yeah, the “codes” so to speak of which buttons are pressed with which when of course vary by team. But I could almost make it work if M were only called with A1 and H with A2. LOL Then it would be strong+ fierce and forward+roundhouse. That would be a pretty funny setup!

Anyone have any good reliable combos for killing Zero? I noticed that just about all of my combos don’t work on him.

not off the top of my head, but I’ll get back to you on that tonight. I might honestly just stick with double web swing combos against him unless I can find something that will help make comboing him easier.

the following does work on zero:
crLMH L webswing, jH(slight delay)jS, land, sH, L webthrow, [get into position] air web zip otg jS, sM crH L webswing, jMMS, sH L spider sting/bite. call doom, crH, slight delay, S, delay, jH, slight delay, S (they should be in corner) normal jump down forward web zip crossup [whiff] jS, H web throw into corner, crawler assault
of course, it needs doom missiles.

discovered today that web throw to corner does not allow raw tag doom to otg air plasma beam, or otg tk air super
now i have to see if spider sting/bite allows it…

whats the best way to combo into crawler assault without an assist / most damaging?

everything i’ve learned so far has been webthrow ms.

Do a long combo ending with a spider sting/bite then just do :h: to sting~CA.

Do you guys have any tips for doing Spider-Man combos on stick? I’ve been trying to play with him using my fightstick since I bought the game last Friday, but I’m missing some things during my combos. Weird that I can play other games like KOF, AE, and SG just fine on stick, but Marvel is giving me problems…

Still soul searching. Any thoughts on Spidey/Dorm/Felcia? Rolling Buckler gives me unblockables I’m sure, but I’m not home and I just want to know of RB let’s me combo into Crawler Assault more consistently. My other option is Spidey/dorm/Magnus

don’t do spidey dorm felicia. spidey dorm magnus isn’t bad if you’re confident in your ability to use disruptor with spidey.

just curious on other peoples combo experiments. i am currently using spider/vergil/wesker.

seems like using multiple web-throws in a combo is important for maximizing damage. i cant seem to find any good multi-web throw combos with this team.

i usually do a typical 1,2,3, webswing air(2,2,3,4) land(2,3) spider-sting, launch, 2,3 rapid-slash assist, web-zip, otg, upward web throw maximum stider.

that and i do UMT resets. not too often though. the only one i can really do is the wesker OTG, web-shot UWT.

I think without the use of Doom missiles, the most efficient combo would be iNerd’s BnB. It’s around a few pages back. The combo has enough hard knockdown time to call in a slow OTG assist (Skrull Smite) or a zip OTG + assist call. The combo also doesn’t use a ground bounce so you have a bit of room to do some extensions. If you’re open to using Doom, check my sig for some ideas.

i would love that doom assist, my problem is i just cant use him. i used magneto in vanilla but i just cant get used to him in this game. i cant play online because im at a college so all i have to do is practice combos during the week and play during the weekend, so the execution is no problem for me. i just can not use doom effectively if my life depended on it.

but of course, i often dont have to worry about my other two characters when i play spiderman. spidy usually gets the job done pretty well. ill be playing him in a tournament on the 30th.

I just prefer using missiles because I have an affinity for kara stings, sue me, but Spidey has other interesting combos that still do good damage with room for creativity. Depends on your assist really and how comfortable you are with Spidey.

im really comfortable with spidy. i feel like i can honestly pressure people way more than i even can with wolverine. i just think i need to find some combos that do a little more than 600k.

i have people asking me why i dont use spiderman when im playing other people. id love to play you online but you seem to be on the otherside of the world. haha
