I’ve never used cap so I’m not too familiar with his assists, but I think this might work. After you web throw them out of the corner, you could try to get them with caps shield right as you OTG and Maximum spider as soon as possible. What you gotta do is ground dash, call caps assist, jump forward, OTG web zip, and hopefully caps shield connects so you can maximum spider (quickly). It might not work with that assist, but It worked with Doom’s plasma beam assist when I did it.
Actually, on a mid-screen OTG at certain parts in a combo, you can OTG and the shield slash will connect twice. I only worked with it for about 30 seconds back when I was testing for assists that could allow Crawler Assault mid-screen, so I bet that there is some really cool stuff you can do with that assist. Oh, and Xero made it let you get a full combo off of a ground throw back in Vanilla, so that should still work.

Hey Guys. I did pretty well at Curleh Mustache, only losing to pretty much the Trish/Morrigan Lame out. (which I still believe is his worst matchup)
Going to learn a new Spidey team for Trish/Morrigan teams. Thinking of Spidey/Hawkeye/Doom Missles. Just looking for some good combos with either straight arrows or doom missiles. I saw some cool corner WEb throw stuff with doom missiles, just doesn’t seem to consistent. I beat EvilRashaan in the Spidery mirror which was very fun. It would’ve been cool to see him more in the tourney though. I’m super hungry to get good at the game after what I did at Curleh. I got this, just need to make some team and mental adjustments. Any help with Hawkeye or Doom would be nice since I’m just learning them both.

Ya know that thing that Spencer can do with his vertical zip line and Viewtiful Joe’s bomb assist? Do you think we can do the same kind of thing with a spider-sting instead?
Yes, you can do the infinite. I’ve already tried. You can combo into a corner web throw then perform a kara sting by inputting c:h: + Joe ~ :l: sting/bite. You can then catch them with :h: corner web throw after blocking the bomb. Timing is a bit strict.

It’s really not that hard. You can also do it after a long combo ending in a corner web throw, easily done with wall bouncers and hidden missiles. Spidey and Joe also have good color synergy, a primary requirement of team building (at least for me).

I had my numbers wrong. the full combo does 968,000 and starting with web throw does 911,000. I’m using hidden missiles and Iron Fists wall bouncing assist. Hidden missiles really gave my combos a damage boost.

Never give up combo - can also be done from corner to corner by using a dash under, similar idea to 3.

Combos ending in late zip OTG j:s: to s:m: c:h: are a bit weird to do online. You can remedy this by using a shorter combo and using a s:l: to confirm off of your zip OTG j:s:.
I’m pretty sure you can break 1m without using IF assist if you DHC from MS to Volcanic Roar.
i noticed after the zip OTG u always j.H first then j.S on the 2nd one. is there a reason for this? im still practicing OTGing with web zip and it feels a pretty tricky.
The j:h: does not come out fast enough to hit the opponent when done late, they’d flip. The reason why j:h: is used early is because it has longer hit stun than j:s: and it floats the opponent higher which makes for an easier confirm than j:s:.
As for doing the OTG zip from a web throw, there are many ways to do it. Some do ground dashes then jump zip OTG, others use web swings cancelled to zip OTG, I use forward jump instant air dash then just time my zip. The most efficient way to do it is the one you get used to.
To get a feel of the OTG zip, get the lab dummy to neutral jump state then air throw him with various heights. If you get him high, just zip OTG j:h: then combo from there but if you get him low to the ground, you’d have to land then jump zip OTG j:h:. From air throws, I almost exclusively use zip OTG j:h: to combo unless I air throw them low to the ground and to the corner. For that I use zip OTG j:s:.
oh yeah easily. IF’s assist and the extra web throw only does like 80,000 at most. That Volcanic roar does an insane amount of damage after a DHC, I think some where around 200,000 w/ mashing.
