Yep, the web throw is the fastest one that can hit. You can make it work on Thor whenever you do that. I tried it on Wesker but I was only getting the hard knockdown, though I think I wasn’t doing it fast enough. I’m not sure if you need to be close to the wall because I remember doing it with Skrull near the corner but not next to it.

I did get it in a combo. A short one just to check but right now since I’m learning it I still don’t have a consistent result as to how to replicate it. Sometimes it caught and just threw them correctly while others they bounced out. In any case web throw catches them before they land throwing them back into the corner so now kara stings turn into triple web throw setups once this discovery is fully developed. I’ll post data in a minute.
So right now it’s definitely possible but highly impractical for the time being. Until a consistent theory behind why it bounces comes up and is able to be duplicated without fail it’s hard to say whether or not it can be used. If you fail you get the normal web throw which seems good but the timing to connect the web after the bounce is faster than normally connecting one to throw them away from the corner so doing so would result in a web ball which would thus end the combo. That’s the only drawback for the time being but definitely a strong set up.
Can you get this “wall bounce” if you web throw after an assist ground bounce? Maybe it has something to do with the momentum of the bounce, like if you catch them while they’re still going up the momentum is kept after the throw and that weird result happens.
If it doesn’t happen with other ground bounces maybe it has something to do with spider sting and how spider-man is positioned in the corner after a kara sting.
I tried it with Skrull a while ago to see if I can get the effect like when I was doing my video back then. If you do the the same thing but add the stone smite while doing the c:h: of the kara sting to :h: web throw immediately after the wall bounce, you’d get the reverse effect. What happens is that I’m supposed to throw him into the corner but instead he ends the web throw to the other side. Not really useful but it’d give some insight on how it works with the bounce momentum thingy.
Spidey throws from an ambiguous position which probably causes the quick back turning animation after the web throw same in my wall bounce vid after throwing Thor. The weird thing though is that the cross up transfer in the video has finished a substantial amount of frames already before the web throw connects but it still produces the same effect. The bounce from the web throw also doesn’t use up a wall bounce.
This would be cool for a combo video at least if we really can’t get it to reliably work.
Yeah but I want to maximize spideys damage which currently sits in the high 800k range

Any tips on how to land the :l: Spider Sting~:h: consistently? I’ve been practicing it for awhile, yet my success rate is still too low to use in matches. I tried it during some games today and I missed every time. Rather upsetting because the link is so tight.
Are you talking about landing the :l: Web Throw afterwards or actually just trying to land the Spider Bite after a :l: Spider Sting? Both honestly require you to just get comfortable with the timing.
If you actually get the combo to the point where the solo triple web throw is at the maximum damage scaling, each successful Web Throw does 40k (first two hits do 10k each, third hit does 20k), while the maximum damage scaling for Maximum Spider does between 166k and 167k.
So with that, let’s look at the traditional BnB with the kara sting:

got me 963K, 797K before I spent meter. With the regular kara stings setup it hits for 771K so both solo and assisted it becomes reasonably better. Was going to record it but all my equipment is at a friends house. Plus I need to record tutorial stuff this weekend I’ve been putting it off too long.
I did a mid-screen combo with starting with j:s: s:m: s:h: xx :l: web throw which made 830k without a kara sting to web throw ender. With 2 extra throws from this funny tech, it may possibly get to 900k solo. Not sure the distance will allow the bounce though.
Z, have you tested it on other chars aside Thor? I’m sure I did it with Wesker using Skrull before but I was able to discover how to do it consistently on Thor.
The distance won’t allow the bounce but the original combo with the kara stings got 857K yours may hit somewhere in the 860 or 870 range.

I kind of understand Kara-Cancelling. It’s cancelling a move that creates distance into another (examples being Spider Sting, or command grabs).
I’ve been trying to do the Kara-Cancel Spider Sting so I end up on the other side. I can’t seem to get it. Any tips? Or possibly break it down to make it simpler to understand?
kara stings are easier in marvel because you get to cancel most normals into special moves at any point in the animation, even if they whiff.
the idea is to kara spider sting after the forward movement of crH.

it seemed quite a bit harder than :l: spidersting and sometimes the bite just missed so it might be less consistent. but, :l: Spider Sting~:h: xx :l: web throw was pretty inconsistent for me at first so maybe with more practice we can get out more damage and adjust the timing better. I definitely found it to be harder than :l: Spider Sting~:h: xx :l: web throw but you guys should try it out for yourselves and see if you can manage to do it consistently. Also keep in mind that I did it on nova so it might just be something with his hurtbox
Looking at my past vids and then calculating the tech that Raoh posted I have one combo that hits over a mill for one bar that it builds itself and of course uses Doom. Now I have to get exact numbers.

Ok, so a question for you pro Spidey players (especially Z)… i’ve been practicing with Spidey for a while now but I find it so hard to land any hits because Spidey’s attacks are weird angled and I end up being comboed lol…
I notice Z uses Web Zips + j.M to safely start a combo (which can be incredibly hard most times) but I’m having a lot of problems. He’s my fav Hero and I wanna learn how to use him, I ain’t wanna’ quit.
Any tips or ideas for a new Web Slinger? Like what do you look to do as the match starts for example.
