I’m actually about to make a video demonstrating how to avoid and punish Strider but apparently Spiderman has an infinite loop on assist using spider sting with out the bite. Which will be shown in the video more than likely.

Edit: Never mind I tried it out after killing someone and they drop after three loops but from what I can tell so long as the opponent is alive it’s quite possible to go on indefinitely with the the loop, or at least long enough to get 900K on it. Could probably use an assist to lockdown in between reps.

Yeah that’s the standard one so far. I’m now trying to see if I can get something in the 670-690ish range wouldn’t mind 700 but the damn juggle system is tight :annoy:

Is there any point to double web swing combos? It’s a new change to Spider-Man, so I’m trying to play with it, but it seems somewhat pointless from a combo standpoint.

Takes the opponent too high for my taste. Looks cool though, ala Tasky.

It’s only useful in blockstrings in my opinion but even then it’s still slow so don’t use it often. As for combos go it only opens up possibilities when you cancel the ground web swing into the air web swing without throwing a normal inbetween as it will take them too high like Raoh said.

So I finally got around to putting in some hours. Paid off, because I can finally do 800+ DMG combos with Spider-Man. Yessirr. :smokin:

I’ve improved astoundingly since I first started playing on Black Friday. Thinking about making videos of the last two. I was also trying to extend the second combo even more by doing a Web Zip OTG, Triple Arrow then doing Spider Sting into Stone Smite after the sj. Magic Series (probably would be over 900k), but no matter what I did, the HSD was too high and the opponent would pop out before I could nail a Spider-Sting.

And I did it without Doom. Extra cheese on my pizzazz, please. Now I just need to find a way to do 900+ without him or Iron Man.

Does Spidey have any solo 800+ combos? Also, is it better to do :atk: Web Swing, j.:m::m::s: or :atk: Web Swing, j.:h::s:?

You can have 800+ with any wall bounce assist, no worries. Good to know my vid was put to good use. :smiley:

Aside from Doom, Tatus and wall bounces, I think Sent would also be a great second char to break 800.

For the questions.

  1. Yes, needs to be mid-screen.

2.First is more practical and easier to confirm, second has a little more damage but requires timing. Not sure about HSD, but I think they both have same amount added.

Mmm. I wasn’t sure about the two versions. I’ve swapped them back and forth in different combos, and the highest final damage result goes back and forth between the two, so I’m not sure which one is better. Damage scaling is strange in this game. Could it be that j.:h::s: does more damage at the beginning of combos but near the end j.:m::m::s: does more? For example, the third combo I posted does 830k instead of the 850k if I change it to :h: Web Swing, sj.:h::s:.

Personally, j.:h: :s: is easier for me because of muscle memory; when I started, my first real, damaging bnb had j.:h::s: and it took me all day literally to learn but now I don’t miss. :rofl:

I have one that I put in that video but it required you to mostly only use web throws and dash under techniques. It’s mostly a midscreen combo.

:h: web swing has 20k more damage than the :l: one so that’s where the bulk is coming from.

The j:h:j:s: will always do more damage in the long run because of lesser hits to scale the combo. My guess is that the difference between the j:m:j:m:j:s: and the j:h:j:s: will be at most around 5-10k at the end of the combo. Comes down to a matter of preference and ease of use.

I think in the corner, we can do c.:h: xx :l: Spider Sting xx Crawler… ASSSSAAAULLLTTTT!!! and that gets to about 800k, I think. Actually, I think we have a primarily Web Throw-based combo somewhere that breaks 800k solo ending with Maximum Spider.

how do you connect s.M after a c.L c.M c.H L web swing j.M j.M j.S land j.L j.M j.M j.H j.S? i tried s.M, c.M and a few others. is there a delay i need to enter when I do my 2nd jump combo? or is there something i am doing wrong with this combo do begin with?

You have to adjust your timing a little bit when you do the last jump string so that when you hit the j:s:, it hits at about the right time to make your opponent juggle and the time you hit the ground to get the s:m: in. The adjustment usually is done during the j:h: and j:s:.

and later I discovered a 5-6 web throw bnb with my vanilla team (Spidey/Doom/Shuma) 6 if you start the combo with a web throw. It also works with Phoenix Wright’s Get 'em Missile assist when in turnabout mode.

Granted… all of these only work on medium sized characters and up, i’ll have to do specifics later.

How do you do the …:h: xx :h: Web Swing xx :s: xx sj… part?

Also, aside from Shuma and P.Wright helping Doom, you can add Hawkeye, Wesker, Sentinel, Skrull and other wall bouncers to add web throws after missiles. Each have different styles to add in web throws but all make use of the same idea. If you’re confident with your execution, you can actually pull off a total of 8 web throws in one combo when you’re from mid-screen. Can’t think of a scenario at the moment to add one more.
