For the short time I played Alpha I loved Rolento. How can you hate the guy who when faced with all these crazy fucks using fireballs, flaming uppercuts, and pyscho juice just uses fucking piano wires and grenades to beat people into submission.
Not really; Vega is pretty much the first charge character I’ve ever actually attempted to play properly.

I play Bison in ST. good footsies, a busted throw range and lack of reversal/anti air.

I used Lei in Tekken 2-5DR. My play style with him had some similarities to how I use Vega.
The only other game I took seriously is MVC2 and I did main Doom for the majority of the 10 years Marvel was out.
My playstyle with Vega consist of a lot of footises, kara throwing, and punishment with EX-FBA combos.
My Doom focus on full screen traps/pressure with Storm’s vertical typhoon and Sentinel’s Drones, plus DHC into Hail.
So I dunno about any correlations, Vega, like a lot of you guys is my first charge character.
Hmmm lemme see. Hazama, Lambda and Tsubaki I play differently to eachother, I play Hazama as a zoning character, Tsubaki as a rushdown and Lambda as a mix depending on how safe and confident I feel.
I barely play ST, so I can’t really say anything there.
For 3s, I play Twelve as rushdown (which, tell me it’s wrong all you like, I manage), but I do like to play pokes with him. So out of all the fighters I play, I think my Twelve, if not, my Urien is a closest match to my Vega.

Oohhhhhh… I was wondering why I was seeing people like Rizhall, Kami, and Bebop posting on the first page; then I saw the dates.
I would say yes. I’ve never been adept with offense-style play and so I prefer characters who I can play a more defensive game with and can keep you out with strong pokes. Also characters who don’t require anything too technically demanding work nicely.

Him being low tier in vanilla also helped bc at least back then, good Vegas got praise at the end of a match, win or lose.
