Vegas the only guy i play…pretty much done with Mortal Kombat…lol…gonna be hard to for em to top SF now

For 17 years - ever since CE - Vega and only Vega.
I main Vega because ever since SFII I thought he just looked plain cool. All badass with his claw and mask… And I can’t really say anything for playstyle cause the only other “fighting” game I was ever into was Melee and for a short while Brawl. But I mained Link in Melee (sometimes Falco, but EVERYONE had a good Falco) and Fox in Brawl.
The only other fighting game I play competitively is 3rd Strike. I main Oro. Oro’s hella mobile and has great pokes, so I guess Vega just kinda made the most sense… but then again, Fuerte does have that Oro-type loop. Hmm…
I actually don’t take playstyle or moveset into consideration at all when choosing a character. I go 100% for style. I just look for a character that has something in his visual design that clicks with me.
Like Iori and Kyo in KoF, Kazuya first and later Jin in Tekken, Raphael and Yun-Seong in Soul Calibur IV, Chipp Zanuff and Venom in Guilty Gear.
I agonized over Vega for a long time, since I loved his design but hated charge characters. “I wish I was able to play him”. Wasn’t until SFIV came out that I decided I’d learn to use him no matter what.

None of those people play like Vega, none of them.

i guess he kinda does, i like the akward fighters who are unorthodox, zappa is like my all time favorite character in any game, im starting to really like playing seth in sf4 also… kinda weird

My choices are based on style. 
I use Venom in GG… stinger aim and carcass ride are both charge moves, but besides that, I see little comparison.
The only other 2d fighting games I would play that didn’t feature Vega were Guilty Gear XX and 3s. Mained Chipp Zanuff, speedy ninjutsu and ninpo with his own version of the Bloody High Claw. I didn’t really have main in 3s played Alex, Ken, Urien and Remy a bit more frequently.
I’m more drawn to fast and agile characters, especially those that perform back flips. Vega’s style is really versatile, as he is a speedy charge character you can throw your opponents for a loop. Just wish the inputs for him were as quick as my hands.
He’s a bit TOO unorthodox.

It also explains my undying love for Rock Howard, and K’ from the SNK universe. Simply because they’re damn handsome. Nothing more. Vega, also handsome.

Not that I play all of those games seriously but they’re all games I’ve gotten into. The only trend I notice about my character choices are that aside from Johnny(in half his games anyways) they’re all low/bottom tier.
I only secondary Vega, but this still applies I guess.

I main vega because he is like a counter character only w/o any actual counters. And no, I don’t like Gouken…he’s too…large on my screen
