Gouki is quite possibly the easiest character for Q. What I would suggest is to start a match with a taunt, don’t worry about his attacks (unless it’s round 2 and he has a full meter.) Practice parrying Gouki’s HCB+MK or RH, as they vary, ans as soon as you parry his HCB+K’s, you should throw him in the opposite direction, not foward. I have tried many times to MK him after parrying his HK’s, but it is not usually a good option, as his HK’s are quite fast, and has fast recovery.
You could also beat out his further HK’s with a LP dash punch, which is what I usually do, and try not to jump to him, as he has many options to hit you with.
Taunting like this is stupid. Any shoto can jump, even super jump from full screen (but not Sean), and nail you with a combo. This means you will be eating an extended version of Gouki’s bread and butter combo, which does over 30% of your life and puts him in your face with you on the ground. This is a crap position to be in when you have no wakeup outside of supers and you’re fighting against Gouki, who has excellent mixups and counter-wakeups.
parry that shit or red parry that shit and punish his ass.Thats it he’s weak he would think twice about doing it over and over again once you learn to parry it.
