I’ve actually noticed a couple of things about the special facts that are listed in the main menu of Marvel vs. Capcom Origins. I think a couple of these facts are actually false. The first one I’ve realized is that it says that “X Men COTA and Marvel Super Heroes were the first ones to have the super armor mechanic”. I actually know some games that have the mechanic.

Here’s an example of one in a boss fight in an Indiana Jones game (It’s not hyper armor because the boss does take hit stun along with not taking hit stun. Since they say mechanic and not technique, then in reality the fact is fake. The Indiana Jones game came out in October while X Men COTA came out on December.
The other one I’ve found is actually pretty funny. There’s actually a fact that says "Gambit makes his first playable appearance in X-Men vs. Street Fighter, but actually appeared in a 1993 game called Spiderman and the X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge. He also appeared in the Genesis X Men game. Capcom was probably referring to the MvC series, although they say stuff outside of the series like Megaman and Ryu’s first appearances in games, comic history, etc. There’s probably more false facts, but as of now this is what I’ve found out.
It did look like they were talking about their own games. Although I honestly thought they were talking about all games in general because they didn’t put in “The MvC series”. I guess Capcom should’ve been more specific because they were talking about Marvel comics that are outside of the series. Not a big deal though if I’m wrong, some mod can just delete this. You guys are overreacting a bit. It was kind of a joke in a way or just to laugh at Capcom for silly little mistakes.
If Capcom was talking about the MvC series then their wording is very awful. Instead of saying “Xmen cota and msh were the first to have the super armor mechanic” they should’ve said that “Super armor was used in the first installments of the MvC series and ever since was used in MvC history” and “Gambit was first introduced in the MvC series in X-Men vs. Street Fighter” instead of “Gambit is first playable in X Men vs. Street Fighter”. It’s not like they give any description saying what it represents so someone would assume they were talking about in general. There are many other games that actually use the super armor mechanic probably was before X men cota and msh were out.
I do try to improve in the game. This topic isn’t about being good at the game, it’s the knowledge of the history of the games because it’s basically history facts. I feel like people are taking this way too seriously. It’s basically just some trivia over some facts in a series collectable game. Today though I’ve actually found a fighting game that probably has a super armor mechanic in it. This kind of looks like a glitch or a weird game mechanic because first hit Rayden drops and the second hit Rayden doesn’t and doesn’t recieve hitstun.
For Venom, I think it did say something that his first fighting game was MvC, although I think he appeared in a spiderman beat em up game (Like the X Men Arcade game (Not the Capcom ones) and Final Fight) if you include that as a fighting game. They even say something very weird like players get freedom or something, so I really don’t know what to say about that fact. Overall these facts look pretty good with a few exceptions of what is most likely not being clear of what they mean.
Go to Capcom headquarters, douse yourself in gasoline and light yourself on fire. They’ll think twice before they publish such factual inaccuracies again!
Either that, or just let the thread die. Your call.
lol dude you’re so mad. You seriously need to chill I wasn’t threatening Capcom I was just mentioning a couple of funny mistakes Capcom made. I actually like Capcom (At least their 90’s games) and I’m not seriously insulting them to the max. They have done many other stupid stuff and they’re not the only ones.
I don’t spam ever that’s anoint I’m making for future players I face against cuz every player I face in this game spams, and mashes like they on steroids I at least try to punish them the best way I can I happen to be an alright player with spider man I focus my practicing on him more then any other character in the game.
