Does BB play better on pad or stick?

I’ve been using pad my whole life, but have been wondering if I’d be able to pull off stuck like micro-dash if used a stick? Is stick superior to pad? They look uncomfortable, but maybe once I get use to it, it would play better than a pad?

And if I do go for a stick, is there a huge difference in performance between a $20-$30 stick and one that goes for $150 to $200?

Yes. You will not find a good stick under 100$ new. The closest you’ll probably get is the qanba drone and even that thing cries out for a few part swaps.
