I am going to be installing a PS4+Ver2 into my custom build soon. One of the things I’m happiest about is I can finally where headphones at locals/majors. It got me thinking though, if I plug my headphones in, will it tell the PS4 to stop sending audio out of the other speakers? I don’t want to rob my opponents of their ability to hear the game and that really concerns me.
Can anyone with a PS4+ confirm that audio still comes out of the speakers if headphones get plugged in? Thanks!
If you can have audio come out of one controller and still on the speakers then yes it should. You can try it on your PS4 now. Plug headset into one PS4 controller and see if in the settings you can have audio come out of that controller as well as the speakers on your tv/entertainment center, etc. That will give you your answer. The PS4+ Audio board works the same as a standard controllers jack.
From what I read on the thread if you use the PS4 audio board it will only go through the board. No way to have it go through both the fightstick and the other speakers.
